How to read to kids who won't sit still - A Mother Far from Home 06/11/2015

Instill the love of reading. Children love listening to stories..tell it the way they want to listen.

How to read to kids who won't sit still - A Mother Far from Home Got kids who won’t sit still when you are trying to read? Here are some great ways to get your reading in without forcing children to sit on your lap who just don’t want to! My firstborn child, a girl, loved to read. A lot of parents go through this process and the anxiety that follows. We should encourage the young ones to explore as there are enough opportunities for someone who is willing to be a "multipotnentialist" . Very well articulated. Only 12 minutes..worth it.

Maths Pundit- the vedic way to make math easy!!!

A numerical journey of 10 years…..

10 years ago a small team sat in a little room and brain stormed about making math a fun learning experience for the early learner. The questions we asked ourselves:

Is math really so difficult? Of is it more a fear? Fear, we said.
Can it be make a fun filled, joyful experience? Yes, we said.
Can we incorporate the wisdom of the ancient vedic sutras and help the child over come the fear? Yes, we did.
Will the child forget to do the traditional methods (curriculum desired) of calculations if he learns this method? No, he does not.

Armed with our strong belief in the academic team, we set upon designing the program which till then was not even baptized. After a couple of months the first module was ready and we were most eager to have a pilot run. The first school that we approached was as eager as us to have something that would help the kids.

We took on 15 kids of grade 1 and 2, and 15 of grade 3 and 4 and started the sessions. Half way through the program there were that many more who wanted to join in, but we were not happy with the design. So we delivered what was committed and went back to the drawing board to redesign the modules. We communicated to the school authorities what we were doing and promised to be back with a better designed module. It took us another 6 months to get things in place and this time we went with complete confidence – MATHS PUNDIT was born!!!

What was conceptualized as a program for primary school students got stretched to middle school only because the parent s demanded it . Today we cater to school student from grade 1 to grade 7.And we are the only ones who do “vedic math” for primary school students.

If I have to list the reasons for the growth and sustenance of this little Pundit,

Strong Academic contents – each year we revise the contents of one standard, each batch gives us a new challenge.
Mentor training, which is a separate vertical, an on gong process. It would not be possible with out the dedicated team of mentors who deliver 100% in class.
Complete clarity to the parents about what the program is and what they can expect.
All academic queries handled by the mentors in 24 hours and other issues by the office in the same time.
Sticking to the commitment made, even if it means stretching at some point of time.

We have run this product for 10 years without a single advertisement, as our happy parents are our mouthpiece and brand ambassadors. But most importantly, it is the end- user, our children, who believe in Maths Pundit and come back year after year.

Maths Pundit Rocks!!!
