Kalamandir Institute of Fine Arts (since 1979) presented 158 th Bharatnatyam Arangetram of their disciples at zaverben sabhagriha, ghatkopar on 9 th Jan 2022.
k*m ayushi,K*m dhritti,k*m nidhi and K*m vidhi performed dances containing both abhinaya and footwork. They showcased beautiful expressions ,coordination grace and angshuddhi.
Guru Priti vora ,with her daughters Ishani and Jhanvi trained the girls for pushpanjali, allaripu,jatiswaram,shabdam, varnam ,thali nritya,Shri ramchandra,Ardhanarishwara ,
Durga stuti, Padam and tillana with mangalam.
Kalamandir is celebrating it's 43 rd anniversary year by introducing advance bharanatyam courses like nritya visharad and nritya parangata for students interested in aquiring further knowledge in bharatnatyam.
To witness the Arangetram performed under the guidance of Guru Smt Priti vora is a unique experience- mythological stories are beautifully explained,expressed and performed by students of KIFA. The attractive costumes,colourful decor, graceful dances with story telling ,beautiful presentation ,excellent orchestra mesmerised the audience and kept them hooked delightfully till the end of the show which was performed despite various adversities like high covid cases and related restrictions. Watch a performance by Mrs Jhanvi Hemani (daughter of Guru Priti Vora) who performed Arangetram at the age of 13 years and has been supporting Guru Priti Vora since then in her dance batches, Arangetram choreography and co-ordination. She is Nritya Visharad in Bharatnatyam. She is a Doctor (MD, DNB Anaesthesia) by profession and has continued pursuing Bharatnatyam alongside her hectic schedule and doctor duties.
