Dear Students - I have been receiving phone calls and sms as to how to approach DT before exams. I recommend the following approach:
Tonight:
1. Finish revising Assessment procedure with charts
2. Skim through our notes - read only illustrations and case laws - read theory only if you cant solve illustration or cant understand case law
3. Tomorrow morning - Give a good 6 hours to your Supplementary Study paper - Do amendments thoroughly - Special focus on ICD illustrations in the supplementary study paper Also do business trusts thoroughly and the amendments in Transfer Pricing are important.
4. Post Lunch- Give about 3-4 hours for International taxation - max time to Transfer pricing - focus on special procedures such as safe harbour rules, Advance Pricing Agreements and DRP. Study provisions pertaining to Royalty, FTS and Interest thoroughly.
5. Skim through select case laws book - SKIM dont read - just look at the case law name - if you recollect what hapenned there just move to the next case law.
6. Exam day morning- On exam day morning just focus on reading select case laws and NOTHING ELSE!!!
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT PGBP AND CG THE RELEVANT PORTION WILL BE COVERED IN AMENDMENTS!!!
