Modern day fathers want to be more involved and, increasingly, society expects more of them. This was not always the case and there is emerging consensus on the importance of paternal presence during every stage of a child’s development.
How to be a more engaged 👨🏽💼.
📌Quality time over quantity time.(Watching 📺 with your child is not counted)
Quality engagement with your child in everyday tasks like being there at meals times, playing one on with them— rather than expansive but one-off days spent dispense, immense benefit.
📌Showing up is key. Father’s that are present for a child’s key event are going to have a positive impact on their upbringing.
📌Dad’s unique touch, DOES EXIST in activities like teaching them to swim, ride a bike as they are less protective compared to mom’s.

📌 Children model their dad’s.
Kids are always watching their dad’s and hence what they do matters. A dad influences a child’s psychological, cognitive, and social development, and strongly steers them toward adulthood.

GRATITUDE ATTITUDE # Gratitude is great means to heal you mind, body & soul.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
NEVER HAVE I EVER... been so happy to see fresh flowers in my home. This lockdown has taught each one of us in one way or the other to appreciate the simple things and be grateful of all that we have.
It’s important we in-still gratitude attitude in our children from a very young age.
How do we do that?
:: Encourage them to appreciate others.
:: Expose them to reality.
:: Say please & thank you.
:: Help someone who is less fortunate.
:: Make them earn their treats & toys.
:: Help your child work through feelings of envy & jealousy.
:: Encourage your child to vocalise his/ her gratitude at bedtime.
:: Practise self gratefulness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In order to practise self gratefulness you could make a gratitude jar and make little notes of what he/she feels Grateful for.

The one thing trending on your Instagram feed these days is definitely food.
In the lockdown we have been cooking up a storm at home right from baking (baking powder & yeast were in short supply for a whole month😲)
... to varied international cuisines or just finally trying out some of our favourite recipes from ma’s & grandmas.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥙Jotting recipes on a piece of paper & later scrambling to find it.
🌯Using two recipes and then too bored to collate it together.
🍛Annoying to keep searching & starring at recipes flooded on your zillion WhatsApp groups.
🥟Googling a recipe and then soiling your phone while scrolling through it.
⚠️Does this all sound familiar?⚠️
My best friends & I have been going nuts 🥜 exchanging recipes and all of us have loved using the Recipekeeper app. This one is a total keeper!
💡 Pro tip: Get the paid version and sync it across all your devices.

With the cooking post we did a few days back, I wanted to follow through by giving you a super simple and nutritious recipe to do with your kids 3 or 13.
This chocolate energy ball recipe is versatile as it’s no flame, easy prep , low on mess.
Let’s look at how kids across all age groups can help ...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The little kids can pound the walnuts , swirl the peanut butter, coconut oil & maple syrup mix, roll out the mixture into balls and also help with coating the top.
The big kids can help you pull out the ingredients which could be a great conversational starter for the healthy choices one can make and how healthy stuff can taste yummy too.
Since we are working with few ingredients you will be able to hold your child’s attention to weigh out all the ingredients as well. Hope you enjoy making these energy balls as much as I did with my 9 year old.
