Unsung Heroes: Read • Reflect • Remember

A five-day literary tribute celebrating the lives, courage, and contributions of inspiring figures from India’s history was held from 10th to 14th August 2026. Each day highlighted the life and legacy of a different unsung hero, encouraging students to read, reflect, and remember their invaluable contributions. 🇮🇳📖

📖 Day 3: Chandrashekhar Azad
📖 Day 4: Virangana Jhalkari Bai
📖 Day 5: Subhas Chandra Bose

The celebration concluded with a Book Exhibition, providing students with an opportunity to explore books, discover inspiring stories, and deepen their connection with India’s rich history and heritage. 📚✨

Independence Day Programme 2026 🇮🇳✨️

R.E.S. Rizvi College of Education came together in the spirit of patriotism and unity to celebrate India’s 80th Independence Day. The celebrations began with a warm welcome, followed by a spirited band performance and flag hoisting, as we proudly saluted our Tricolour and joined together for the State Anthem. 🎺

The programme also included the felicitation of competition winners, recognising the creativity and achievements of our students. 🎖️🏆

As part of the celebrations, students and faculty also enthusiastically participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, proudly embracing the Tricolour and receiving certificates in recognition of their participation. 🇮🇳🏠✨

The day was a beautiful reflection of freedom, unity, pride, and togetherness, bringing our college community together to honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and celebrate the spirit of our nation.

Students and faculty members enthusiastically participated in the online launch of the programme and took the Drug-Free Mumbai Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to building a safe, healthy, and drug-free community. Rizvi College of Education celebrated Founder’s Day with a meaningful tree plantation drive at Muktanand Garden, where the FY B.Ed. students came together to plant a sapling as a symbol of gratitude, growth, and environmental responsibility.

This initiative reflected our institution's commitment to nurturing not only future educators but also a greener and more sustainable world. Every tree planted today is a promise of hope, care, and a better tomorrow.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for providing us with the opportunity to contribute towards a healthier environment at Muktanand Garden, and to everyone whose enthusiasm and dedication made this initiative a memorable success.
