Motto : The school motto reads "With Love and Faith alone". The school wishes to bring out the best in the child, in its specialness and by nurturing it into the fullness of life. It is recognized by the Govt. It is comprised of 10 standards and prepares pupils for the Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) Examination of the State of Maharashtra. Anne's was born in 1916- a lowly outhouse only topped by a roof. The teachers of this tiny school with 15 students on roll were the noble-hearted and generous -minded parishioners of Orlem, who willingly gave their time to the children - in a spirit of service. The central pillar round which the birth and infancy of St. Anne's revolved was Rev. Justin Dsouza. A man of deep insight and for reaching vision he revealed the need of a proper building for the school to progress. In 1921, a school building worth the name had arisen on a foundation of love, effort. transpirit and sacrifice. In 1946, Rev. Walter Dsouza took over the reins from Rev. Justin Dsouza followed by Rev. Stanislaus Pereira who took charge in 1948. Rev. Peter Gomes took over from his predecessor in 1953, and continued the good work done by him. Frank Noronha began his ministry in June 1956 as Manager of St. Anne's School. By now, a High School had become a pressing need of the day for education and Rev. Noronha rose to the challenge by building such an immense structure and to his credit goes the establishment of a full fledged St. Anne's High School as known today. The first batch of students appeared for the Board Examination of March 1960 under the Principalship of Rev. Octavian Dias in 1963. He gave his all to the children and the progress of the school. A strict disciplinarian but beneath the tough exterior was a heart of gold. Denis Perirra was appointed Manager and Principal in June 1980 and made St. Anne's one of the most sought after schools in the suburbs of Mumbai. Denis Pereirra was both an innovator and a renovator. "A healthy mind in a healthy body". Sports has been one of the bloodstreams of the life of the school from its early days. Achievement in the sports arena reached the heights of glory under Rev. Ernest Fernandez who put St. Anne's Orlem on the map of the Sports World. Ernest introduced the Junior College in 1989 and a fete was organized to raise funds for the project.
