The growth of Telecommunications in the country is also phenomenal. In recent times, India has emerged as one of the fastest growing telecom markets in the world. Indian telecom has become the second largest wireless network in the world after China. The future progress of telecom in our country is very encouraging. With the rapid growth of the ICT sector in India, there is an urgent need to review of the current scenario, the global business opportunities, the government policies and supports to this sector, the upcoming technological developments, industry needs and challenges with a view to reduce the digital divide across the country and to explore new markets.
