Really touching questions for for all IIT and IIM students..... anyone having answer?

Read complete story: I’m the only IITian from my village # IITM

I came here to IIT from a small village where we hardly have enough resources to study. Still my dad got me into a very good school spending most of his hard earned money to provide adequate education to his kids. There are more than 60% ppl in my village without proper education and doing milk business, agriculture and other contract works on daily basis. I did all my education on scholarship till +2. Luckily MCM has been an added advantage for me after coming here though our economic status gone up decently over the years. I’m the only IITian from my village and my parents are proud of it. Ppl started showing me as an example to their kids (no exaggeration – after all I’m from a village it happens).
When I landed up in IIT I hardly have things in my mind other than living up to the brand IIT. With all the exposure and all the opportunities the top university provides my interests had changed which in turn changed my whole life. I started loving films and started learning and practicing related stuff to develop my career in that field. Now I’m pretty confident of what I want though the field I have chosen is pretty risky and uncertain. But I have this feeling of guiltiness that I wasted an IIT seat which truly matters for a person who is really passionate to be an engineer. For the last one year this feeling is haunting me but I’m sorry to every passionate engineer out there who missed the chance of getting into IIT and settled with a seat in a college next to IIT. I don’t have an option than following my heart for a better life. The only way I’m trying to reduce my guiltiness is by putting a decent CGPA and learning some stuff(though I’m pretty much not interested in it) to make my parents feel that I worth a seat here (personally I’m not) and to clear my degree on time so that I don’t waste govt money anymore. Actually the BTech degree at the IITs is offered at a very subsidized rate. We pay back just 20% to the government. And I’ll be having that feeling for the rest of my life.
I have questions to all IITians here that haunts me everyday…..
1. How much are we paying back to the government which provided us with all the resources here in IIT??
2. Did we ever realize that we have taken a seat from someone who is really aspiring (at least more than us)?? If so how much are we paying back to that poor guy (OC/OBC/SC/ST who so ever it is) who is studying next to IIT??
3. How much are you truthful to your parents who are thinking that you are a hero and going to be an inspiration for next generations to come??
4. Do we really fit for the brand name IIT if we “flunk” subjects, get an extension and clear our degree with “rock bottom CGPA”?? Are we really proud enough to say that we are IITians from bottom of our heart??
5. How much justice we have done to our IIT seats??
Finally I want to say just one thing. We’ll be showered with all praises and compliments for our talent once we are out from here. But at least when we are in IIT let us do justice to our seats which is highly valuable and thousands of students dream or at least have the feeling of guiltiness that we are unable to do justice even after our sincere efforts we put in.

It doesn't matter how many resources you have,
If you don't know how to use them, It will never be enough !!
