Reframing Sustainability | Travel Exhibition

The KRVIA Post Graduate Program will host the School of Collectively Building’s (Austria) Travel Exhibition, Reframing Sustainability, from 21 to 26 September 2026.

The exhibition brings together a diverse collection of international projects, research initiatives, academic explorations, and creative practices by architects, designers, researchers, educators, artists, thinkers, and students from across the world.

The exhibition will also feature an engaging conversation with architects and educators from India and abroad, exploring how sustainability can be reframed within architecture and the built environment.

KRVIA Student Achievement

Tanya Maheshwari & Sriram Kishore Palanivelu
Silver Winners | 15th ACARA 2026

KRVIA is pleased to announce that Tanya Maheshwari and Sriram Kishore Palanivelu have been awarded the Silver Prize at the 15th Asian Contest of Architectural Rookie's Award (ACARA) 2026 for their projects “School as a Neighbourhood” and “The Trans-Corporeal Edge”, respectively.

The Indian domestic competition was hosted by VIT’s PVP College of Architecture, Pune, on 4th September 2026, under the theme: Porous City, Porous Architecture: Threshold as a Dynamic State, bringing together architecture students from across India to present their work before an esteemed jury of academicians.

Encounters 2026

Sagar Oke, (alumnus of KRVIA B.Arch 2013 and TU Delft-MSc Building Technology 2023), currently working as an Design Engineer at Octatube in Delft, NL will be presenting his talk, “The Making of Architecture” that focuses on the subject of Architectural Engineering in the design process - which has been at the core of his work over the years.

By showcasing some of his previous work as a student and professional in architecture and engineering, Sagar talks about his journey in architecture and switching paths in his career to further his knowledge into the ‘making’ of architecture.

Architectural Anatomies

The Tectonic Studies Studio is putting up an End of 5th semester Exhibition from the 31st August to 2nd September, 2026

The studio had explored the Anatomical aspects of some renowned Architectural projects across the world. The studio employed the hands-on method which initially identified the physical anatomy of the building and then revealed the systems which construct, constitute and even formalise the building. Through generation of clear drawings and diagrammatic models the studio evolved an understanding in site context, approach and circulation, and structural logic embedded in the tectonic ideas of the building.

The Esquisse ’26: Under Construction exhibition is now available online.

The annual KRVIA Design Esquisse invited students to imagine the school in a state of perpetual transformation, exploring new spatial possibilities through acts of speculation, intervention, and architectural imagination.

The online exhibition brings together the ideas and proposals developed through the Esquisse, offering an opportunity to revisit the work and experience the show virtually.

Applications are invited for admission to the First Year B.Arch Degree Course at KRVIA for the Academic Year 2026–27 under the Institutional Quota and vacant seats, if any.

KRVIA is pleased to welcome Andreas Rosvold Farstad, an architecture student from the Bergen School of Architecture, Norway, who is studying at KRVIA as an exchange student.

Having completed 6 semesters of his 5-year integrated Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program in Norway, Andreas has joined the 1st Year M.Arch in Urban Design program at KRVIA. This exchange offers him an opportunity to engage with the school’s academic environment and explore the diverse architectural, cultural, and urban contexts of India.

We look forward to the new perspectives and conversations this international academic exchange will bring to the KRVIA community.

Internship Seminar

KRVIA hosts an Internship Seminar bringing together 4th and 5th Year students to facilitate conversations around internship experiences, practices, and possibilities within the architectural profession.

The seminar will provide 4th Year students with an opportunity to engage with their seniors, gain insights into navigating the professional realm, and understand how internship experiences can shape their transition from academic learning to architectural practice.
