🌳 Greening Delhi, One Tree at a Time! 🌿

With the support of Publicis Sapient, CERE has planted 1,700 trees across 22 native species in the Delhi Cantonment region for the year 2022–23. These trees are transforming the landscape by improving air quality, supporting biodiversity, and creating local livelihoods. 🌱

In the next 15 years, this plantation will absorb over 550 metric tons of CO₂, helping combat climate change while keeping Delhi cooler and cleaner. 🌎✨

🌿 Kotak Mahindra Bank and CERE: Bringing Nature Back to Life

With the support of , CERE has planted 7,000 native plants at Mumbai’s Colaba Woods Garden, transforming it into a thriving green haven. The initiative is improving air quality, enriching soil health, and creating safe habitats for a wide range of species.

Today, the garden is alive with butterflies, birds, reptiles, and insects — each contributing to a healthier, more balanced ecosystem. 🌱🦋 🪱 🐦

IndusInd Bank & CERE: A Partnership for Urban Forests and Wildlife

With the support of , CERE has planted 2000 plants at Nayandahalli in Bengaluru, 2,000 plants at Puzhal Lake in Chennai, 3,000 plants at Green Verge-23 in Kolkata and 9,857 plants at Badshahpur Corridor in Gurgaon.

These thriving plantations, a part of CERE's Urban Afforestation Project, are now mini ecosystems attracting various types of birds, butterflies, insects, reptiles, and much more!

These species play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance, showing us how nature comes alive when we nurture it.

Publicis Sapient & CERE: Planting Together to Promote Biodiversity

With the support of , CERE has planted 1,700 plants at the Army Equestrian Centre, Delhi Cantonment; in 2022.

This thriving plantation has now become a mini ecosystem attracting various types of butterflies, insects, birds, reptiles, and much more! 🌱🐛🦎

These species play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance, showing us how nature comes alive when we give back.

The Kundalika Seena Rejuvenation and Development Foundation (KSF) and the District Administration of Jalna partnered with the Centre for Environmental Research & Education (CERE) to develop a holistic plan for restoration and effective water management in Jalna, Maharashtra.

The project goal was to create a blueprint to enable year-round clean water in the Kundalika and Seena Rivers. The objectives involved:
• Studying the causes and impacts of siltation in the two rivers,
• Studying various point and non-point sources of pollution in the two rivers, and
• Recommending sustainable measures for desilting and restoring the Ghanewadi Dam and the two rivers.

Our Urban Afforestation Project is spread across 128 locations across India. We ensure only native saplings are planted and maintain plantations for a period of 3 years. Additionally, we carry out geotagging and carbon calculations and issue a Carbon Sequestration Certificate to plantation sponsors. To date, we have planted over 2,99,550 plants.

Plantation work commenced on 8th October 2024 for the areas around the Rainwater Harvesting Ponds at SRPF 5, Daund. The CO and senior police officers were invited to plant the first saplings.

Through this project, sponsored by the Hinduja Foundation, CERE has created 9 Recharge Ponds and is planting 500 native tree saplings along the banks of the ponds to increase green cover and strengthen the banks of the ponds.
