Thakur College of Science & Commerce proudly organized the International Women’s Day Awards – “Sakhi: Beyond The Brand” on 5th March 2026, celebrating extraordinary women who have made remarkable contributions across diverse fields. 💫

The event aimed to honour women who exemplify leadership, courage, excellence, and commitment towards empowering society. Nominations were invited through a Google Form and carefully evaluated by a distinguished jury panel. 🌼

An informative session for Non teaching and Support staff was organised on the topic-
"Your Health and Your wealth" on 17th March 2026.
The guest speaker was Mr. Swatantra Kumar, a renowned Social Activist from Mumbai.

✨ Awareness Session on “Good Touch & Bad Touch” ✨

The Women Development & Empowerment Cell (WDEC) of Thakur College of Science & Commerce conducted an interactive and age-appropriate awareness session on “Good Touch and Bad Touch” to sensitize young students about personal safety and bodily autonomy.

👩‍🎓 15 student volunteers actively engaged children through storytelling, role-play, and discussions, helping them understand:
✔ Safe & unsafe touch
✔ Importance of saying “No”
✔ Identifying trusted adults
✔ Speaking up without fear

The session was guided by Ms. Jidnyasa Mhatre and Mrs. Lata Singh, ensuring sensitivity and ethical communication throughout.

💬 The children participated enthusiastically, asked questions, and showed confidence in learning about self-protection.
