Students are posted to various renowned organizations like ALERT India, SATHI, SEARCH, SNEHA, IHMP, Aga Khan Health Services, RUHSA, Arohi etc. It provides hands on experience and knowledge about the health sector wherein students see the theories they learn in classrooms being applied in the real world.It helps build capacities in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating those programs, and orients students to macro issues relevant to health policy and programming in the country. c) Research work: The programme includes a written dissertation which can either be quantitative or qualitative research or operations research or any other study with almost the entire 4th semester in the programme dedicated for it. Required training for this begins in first semester itself, and all students would have chosen their research topics and guides assigned by the beginning of second semester. This provides a chance for the students to demonstrate their research skills in applied manner. This is assessed through the scrutiny of submitted dissertation as well as an oral examination.
