Crossing 2200 FIDE & Earning the Candidate Master Title: A Major Milestone for Fausto Battistelli

A Remarkable Milestone for Upstep Academy's Fausto Battistelli! The 16-year-old from 🇧🇪 Belgium has crossed the 2200 FIDE rating mark, climbing from 2113 to 2248 in just four months — a remarkable gain of 135 rating points!

But this breakthrough comes with another prestigious achievement: Fausto has earned the Candidate Master (CM) title!

Fausto's rise is a reflection of his dedication, consistency, and genuine eagerness to learn. Month after month, he has continued to put in the work, sharpen his game, and push himself to new heights. And now, that journey has taken him past the coveted 2200 mark and into the ranks of Candidate Masters.

Crossing 2200 is a major milestone in any chess player's journey — and to achieve it at just 16 makes this accomplishment all the more special.

108+ Rating Points. One Incredible Performance!

Upstep Academy's Rivaan Singh has delivered a fantastic performance at the prestigious 360 ONE event, making a remarkable 108-point jump in Elo rating!

The 10-year-old from India showed tremendous determination and fighting spirit throughout the event, turning his performance into a massive rating boost.

And there was another special moment to celebrate — Rivaan also took home the Best U10 Prize!

A 108-point rating gain in a single event is a significant achievement and a wonderful reflection of Rivaan's hard work, dedication, and continued growth as a chess player.

UNBEATEN AT U-11 NATIONALS GIRLS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP!

Upstep Academy’s Prisha Gholap has delivered a phenomenal performance at the U11 Nationals, finishing third place while remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament!

Starting the event as the 5th-ranked player, the 11-year-old Prisha showed tremendous fighting spirit and consistency to battle her way onto the national podium. Her unbeaten run culminated in a fantastic third-place finish, earning her a well-deserved ₹50,000 cash prize! 🥉

And the achievement gets even more impressive — Prisha gained a remarkable 73 rating points, pushing her live rating beyond 1820!

From entering the tournament ranked 5th to finishing on the podium without a single defeat, Prisha has shown exactly what it takes to perform at the highest level: consistency, resilience, and the ability to deliver when it matters most.

This is a huge milestone in Prisha’s chess journey, and everyone at Upstep Academy is incredibly proud of her achievement.
