Dr Kanudha Sharda, the scientific editor at iScience journal, will visit on 24.01.2023 and will be delivering a talk at 12 pm. Please find below the details of the talk.

Title- "Writing for Publication in Scientific Journals"

Speaker- Dr Kanudha Sharda, iScience, Cell Press (Elsevier)

Date- 24.01.2023

Venue- Seminar Hall, MEMS Department

Dr Kanudha Sharda is a scientific editor at iScience journal within the Cell Press publishers of Elsevier since January 2021. Prior to which she was an associate editor at Nature Communications journal at Springer Nature since November 2017. Kanudha handles a variety of manuscripts in the physical sciences division. Her background is in synthesis and device applications of two-dimensional materials and their heterostructures, further extending her remit in condensed matter physics, photonics and energy storage applications. She has graduated in physics from University of Delhi, India and was an Erasmus Mundus PhD scholar at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Before being a scientific editor, she was a post-doctorate fellow at Imperial College London, UK. During her talk, she will share insights of publishing workflows, different publishing models and tips for writing research manuscripts. He talk will focus mainly on iScience and other Cell Press journals within the physical sciences.

We from Post Graduate Academic Council (PGAC), IIT Bombay, bring to you an outreach event with the Ph.D. placements Team, open for all PhDs.

It would be a great opportunity for you to understand how the Ph.D. placements work, you will get to know about the probable future opportunities from on-campus placements.

You can get your questions answered by the Ph.D. Placement Managers (PM) and Ph.D. Placement Representatives (PPR).

It would also be an opportunity to interact with the Ph.D. candidates placed through campus placements.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the event has been shifted to 8:30 PM. Please have your dinner early and join us. :)
