Finance Literacy: Building Financially Aware Future Leaders

At M. V. High School, we believe that true education goes beyond textbooks and classrooms. When students are given the opportunity to pursue and build their interests beyond books, they begin to create wonders in their lives.

One such important step is introducing financial literacy to our students. Understanding money management, savings, budgeting, and responsible financial decisions at a young age empowers students with life skills that will guide them in the future. Through engaging activities and practical learning experiences, our students are learning how financial awareness plays a crucial role in everyday life.

It is truly inspiring to see the enthusiasm and curiosity with which our students participate in these sessions. They ask thoughtful questions, share ideas, and actively engage in discussions that help them understand the value of money and the importance of making wise financial choices.

We are extremely proud of our young learners who are embracing learning beyond books and preparing themselves to become responsible and confident individuals.

These initiatives not only enrich their knowledge but also equip them with essential life skills that will support them throughout their journey.

At MVHS, we continue to nurture minds that are ready to learn, grow, and lead with awareness and responsibility.

Learning Beyond Books: Traffic Rules & Road Safety Workshop by RTO

At M.V.H.S learning goes beyond textbooks and classrooms. In an effort to create responsible and aware citizens, a special workshop on Traffic Rules and Road Safety was conducted for primary and secondary students by officials from the Regional Transport Office (RTO).

The session aimed to educate students about the importance of following traffic rules and understanding road safety from a young age. The RTO officers explained essential topics such as the meaning of traffic signals, the importance of zebra crossings, pedestrian safety, helmet use, and seat belt awareness. Through engaging discussions, real-life examples, and interactive demonstrations, students were encouraged to become responsible road users.

The workshop highlighted how simple actions like obeying traffic signals, walking on footpaths, and being alert on the road can prevent accidents and save lives. Students also learned how they can influence their families and communities by spreading awareness about road safety.

Such initiatives reflect the school’s commitment to “Learning Beyond Books,” where students gain practical knowledge that prepares them for real-life situations. The session was informative, engaging, and inspired students to become more responsible citizens who value safety on the roads.
