Discussion with the college coders club of VJTI Mumbai on Code Vita...the club has 45 members who are coding enthusiasts and are in the organizing committee of coding competitions of their pan India technical fest "technovanza"...

Around 130 students have registered for the contest and round one concluded on Saturday last week.

All the best to all the participants and the results to be announced within next 2 weeks.

823 students from a mix of 2nd, 3rd and final years were addressed at VESIT campus. The sessions were conducted by 2 VESIT alumni Mr. Sachin ghosar, who comes with 13 years experience and currently working as an SAP consultant with TCS and Mr. Paresh Ardekar, an enterprise architect in e-commerce and digital space who comes with a rich experience of close to 15 years . The highlight was a tete a tete with Mr. Ashish Rathi, regional delivery head for one of our industry verticals.

The students were addressed by both the alumni on the scale of operations of TCS and how it is managed in the most basic form followed by what were the expectations set to them and how they had gone about achieving the same right out of college.

It also gave students an idea about the opportunities available at TCS and how we had evolved from Web application development into Digital, Analytics, Quality Assurance, Security and other related fields.

Some of the students had doubts on their relevance to the field of IT as they were from Mechanical and circuit branches. The same was answered beautifully by the delegates present as they took them through the areas where their domain experience of electronics and Mechanical would be used in the frame of Information Technology.

The students were also explained about our various contests and the buzz was so high that we had around 300 students who had registered for Code Vita post our sessions in 4 days.

Session on "Advanced Java & Database concepts" conducted at RAIT, Mumbai by Mr.Dipankar Das (Senior TCSer and alumni of RAIT). The session saw an overwhelming response from the students.

"The Preps Season 1 kick start" last Wednesday was a huge success with around 3000 students from across 7 regions from Mumbai and Central India attending the season's first Webisode- "First Impression" virtually.
The session was chaired by Mr. Gaurav Ghelani, a TCS technical expert who completed his post graduation (MBA) and moved to different roles and a newer career path within the organization. The ideas of personal branding was discussed at length with the students which would not only help them with their future endeavors of placements but also enhance their holistic personality and influencing powers. The crux of the session was on "How to use ones strength to create a personal brand for oneself"

Post the success of the first Webisode, we announce the arrival of the second episode of the season 1 on "Resume Building- The penned down personal brand" scheduled the coming Wednesday of next week -27-Jul-2016 at 3.30 pm.
