Yesterday's experience was amazing. The total Lunar Eclipse was a thrilling experience for all. Check out all photos by logging in to our site.
Today is a TLE- Total Lunar Eclipse. Hence we have made the arrangements for all, to see this wonderful spectacle (which by the way is going to happen again in 2018 only). With the latest upgrade of ours (The Variable Barlow) we can closely watch the spectacle unfolding, even hopefully see Earth's shadow being cast on Moon. Eclipse starts at 5.01 pm and ends at 9.48 pm with 52.3 minutes for totality. Excitement is at its peak.
Charge is 50/- per person.
Yesterday we got an amazing experience. Generally with one kind of eye-piece, we get the whole moon in the view, but yesterday it was only half its size, yet we were able to zoom up to at least a 1/4 of half. This was made possible by our newly cleaned "VARIABLE BARLOW". We were able to see a small section of only one crater on the Moon, plus Jupiter was visible to half of the size of Moon.
That is amazing, our tools have become more powerful after this upgrade.
Hello friends, we are glad that our posts have been read and responded well. Our recent post on Quasi satellites of Earth has received good response. One of our readers has pointed out that Earth has 4-5 such satellites. So after verification we notify you that indeed Earth has these Quasi satellites-3753 Cruithne, 2002 AA29, 2003 YN107, 2004 GU9 and 2010 SO16. We regret the incomplete information passed on to you, which has happened for the first time, and we promise to work on this regard and provide you the complete details each time here on.
Awesome first session. Great response. Over 40 people attended the session. Some nice questions raised and answered well. Jupiter with 6 moons, Venus observed.
Hoping to continue this in similar vain.
Identified a new site for star gazing trips, thanx to Siddesh Deshmukh.looking forward to test it.Should be a good one coz it is a few degrees south and a few degrees east to Mumbai, so humidity should be low.
