Preamble
This program is conceived as a creative forum to rethink the teaching and practice of architecture through intersections with multiple disciplines. Architecture today cannot be confined to design and construction alone; it is a lived cultural, social, technological, behavioral and legal phenomenon. This program therefore emphasizes how architecture emerges at the confluence of diverse intellectual streams, expanding its scope and relevance in contemporary times.

Objectives
The structure of the program reflects this integrated vision. The program will urge its participants to embrace transdisciplinary approaches in both pedagogy and practice. It seeks to cultivate architectural thinking that is creative yet contextual, technologically advanced yet human-centered, and visionary yet grounded in socio-political realities. The program reaffirms architecture as not only a profession but also a confluence of knowledge systems, cultural practices, and societal aspirations.

Post Workshop Publication
This workshop aims to culminate into a publication that will introduce ways in which one can connect various disciplines with Architecture in academics and practice. Post workshop participants will be required to conduct a transdisciplinary elective at their college based on the learnings from the workshop. The elective methodology, resource material and student output will be collected from all participants and converted into a publication. A manual that introduces ways in which one can connect various disciplines with Architecture in academics and practice.

Rizvi College of Architecture presents a 5-day Faculty Training Program (FTP 25) from 1st–5th December 2025, designed to explore the intersections of architecture with law, culture, technology, environment, and society.

This year’s theme — “Transdisciplinary Confluence” — reimagines architecture not just as a profession, but as a collective dialogue between diverse knowledge systems and human experiences.
Through lectures and workshops by leading experts in architectural journalism, ESG frameworks, phenomenology, urban modeling, and more, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how architecture connects across disciplines.
