A sincere effort to make a difference in the life of the Rural people with the Help of Digital Financial Literacy.
Pragatishala, organized by Axis Bank, gave the opportunity to help spread awareness regarding various aspects of Digital Financial Literacy and motivate people to go cashless.

" Digital and cashless India is what we are envisioning in a country where more than 60% of the population lives in rural areas. The challenge? To educate and spread awareness about how a cashless economy can benefit an individual and society at large.
Pragatishala, organized by Axis Bank, gave us the opportunity to pick a village and put on a our camp to motivate people to go cashless.
What started with a little brainstorming in our very own classes in KJ Somaiya, culminated in a overwhelming support that we got from Gram Panchayat, teachers and the local people, without whom our Pragatishala journey would have worth nothing. We named ourselves team Saarthi, the drivers of the Chariot of Digital Financial Literacy.
Our hearty thanks to our College i.e. KJ Somaiya and Axis Bank for organizing this wonderful event.
This 20 minute video comprises our journey that spanned 10 days, 500 homes, 400+ Kms, and a 3 hour camp. Enjoy our entry to Pragatishala.
Don't forget to like and share.

__________IB Role Check
Role : International Sales Manager
Does the idea of a career in sales that involves traveling and exploring other cultures appeal to you? If so, you may be a natural fit to become an international sales representative. Globalization is affecting businesses of all sizes, as new opportunities arise in expanding overseas markets. As global business grows, so may the demand for international sales representatives.
International sales managers direct a company's sales division by establishing goals and advising representatives on how to improve sales and performance around the globe. Managers contact distributors and analyze data to evaluate sales statistics and customer satisfaction. In order to sustain operations and remain profitable, businesses can either increase sales to existing customers or seek out new customers who want or need their products and services. Skilled sales representatives are responsible for finding these new consumers. For many expanding companies, their best prospects are in overseas markets, and to secure these new accounts, they rely on the efforts of international sales representatives.
International sales representatives are crucial links between end users and the rest of a firm’s operations. International sales representatives focus on finding new customers, and promoting and selling the company’s products. They will typically negotiate and write contracts, coordinate deliveries with production and distribution, and service their accounts.
Other duties may include conducting research on potential clients, staying on top of customer needs and changes in the industry, preparing reports for management, and resolving complaints and other service issues. Skilled international sales representatives can mean the difference between success and failure in the global marketplace.
International sales representative jobs aren’t always located overseas. Many U.S.-based corporations sell on the global marketplace from stateside locations. Whether a firm is based in the United States or a far corner of the world, international sales representatives often find work in industries such as manufacturing and distribution, software development, electronics, telecommunications and information technology. Other employers of international sales representatives include petroleum companies, chemical manufacturers, government and military contractors, and financial services concerns.
Job openings in this field may fluctuate, as sales are affected by changing economic conditions. However, according to national data published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job growth for the broader category of wholesale and manufacturing sales representatives is projected at 9% between 2012 and 2022.May 2015 figures from the BLS showed that the median annual salary for a sales manager was $113,860.

International Business and Finance:
Globalisation has integrated the financial markets of the world. Hence, when any event happens in one part of the world, it has a ripple or domino effect on the rest of the world.
Today when we look at a company, we look at its turnover, and just its numbers and ratios, which is just a short term indicator.
But at IB Finance, we are trained to look at the various country markets. Hence, we would be able to better predict the impact of any country specific incident on a company's operations and financials in the home and host country. We would also be better at predicting as well as handling such a situation, as we have a high level knowledge of different countries.
We have studied as part of Business Policy and International Finance, that how the changes in a country's environment will impact our Investment decisions.
We have in-depth knowledge about major global financial events and we can make a more efficient cause and effect model.
We've learnt of major hedging techniques in not just currencies but also in the global commodities markets.
We can better predict the relationships between different asset classes(such as Currencies, Commodities and Indices) which in turn would help us decide how to hedge related risks. And take better informed decisions(as to when to invest and pull out on time)
Therefore in this day and age of Globalisation, the need of the hour is for someone who has specialized knowledge of Finance, along with a familiarisation of the events that has helped shape up the the global corporate scenario, as it is today.

Role : Strategic Marketing Manager
Organizations use strategic marketing to create a plan to better reach and satisfy customers while increasing profitability and productivity. Strategic Marketing is the way a firm effectively differentiates itself from it's competitors by capitalising on its strengths (both current and potential) to provide consistently better value to customers than its competitors.
Strategic Marketing Overview:
Companies use strategic marketing to identify customer needs and to create a marketing plan to achieve customer satisfaction, improve company performance and increase profit. Typically, an organization will create a written strategic marketing plan that dictates what type of marketing programs it will use during a given time frame and how those programs will be implemented. By outlining how it will engage customers and use new sales and marketing methods, an organization can grow and increase market domination. Strategic marketing can also help a business become more innovative and better pe*****te a market. Companies may employ communication methods like newsletters, podcasts and e-mails in their strategic marketing plans.
Various departments within a business often cooperate to create a strategic marketing plan. When devising a new marketing plan, a strategic marketing manager may meet with employees in operations, sales and administration to create and identify marketing goals. Typically, a strategic marketing manager sets a date for these goals to be met.
Strategic marketing plans should meet these objectives:
1.Setting realistic objectives
2.Creating business tactics that are more effective
3.Taking past marketing failures into account
4.Improving performance
5.Identifying the most important ways that business operations must change
Simply put, the Role of Strategic Marketing is to decide:
1. Which markets to compete in (where to compete).
2. What the basis of the firm’s competitive advantage is going to be (how to compete), and
3. When and how the firm will enter each market (when to compete)
