A WIN FOR THE COMMUNITY 🏆

We’re proud to share that The Dharavi Dream Project (TDDP) has won the WISE Locality Award 2026, presented by the Blue Ribbon Movement Blue Ribbon Movement.

Since 2013, we’ve been using Hip-Hop in Dharavi to turn neighbourhood spaces into creative stages where young people can learn, express, grow in confidence, and find their voice.

This award celebrates our work in using Hip-Hop for expression, creativity, and youth empowerment.

The WISE framework Wellbeing-oriented, Inclusive, Sustainable and Expressive reflects the values we live every day.

This belongs to our artists, students, mentors, team, and community ❤️

*HAPPY WORLD HIP HOP DAY*

Hip Hop is more than a genre of music. Born in the Bronx in the 1970s, it grew into a culture that gave young people a powerful space to express, create, connect and be heard.

From DJing and MCing to Breaking, Graffiti and Knowledge, Hip Hop turned creativity into a language of its own. What began in local communities went on to influence generations across the world, proving that culture can travel far beyond its birthplace while still carrying the stories and voices that created it.

At TDDP, we believe Hip Hop can be more than an art form—it can be a tool for learning, confidence, creativity and change.

From the Bronx to Dharavi, the culture continues. 💚

This one means a little more. 🏆💚

Proud to be recognised as WISE India’s Best Hip-Hop School.

But this award isn’t just for teaching Hip-Hop.
It’s for every child who found confidence through a dance move, found their voice through a mic, discovered creativity through art, or simply found a place where they could be themselves.

At TDDP, we believe Hip-Hop can be a tool for education, expression and change.

This belongs to our students, mentors, artists and the entire TDDP family. ❤️

We didn’t just build a Hip-Hop school. We built a community.
And we’re just getting started. 🚀

Happy Guru Purnima from The Dharavi Dream Project! 💚

Behind every rapper, dancer, beatboxer, graffiti artist, DJ, and young dreamer is a mentor who believed in them before the world did.

Today, we celebrate the gurus who inspire confidence, nurture creativity, and empower us to find our voice through Hip-Hop.

To every mentor, teacher, and guide in the TDDP family—thank you for your patience, wisdom, and belief. Your impact goes far beyond the classroom. 🙌

With love and gratitude,
The TDDP Family 💚
