🌍🍼 Celebrating World Breastfeeding Week 2026! 🍼🌍

On the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week 2026, the Mumbai Breastfeeding Promotion Committee organized an Intercollegiate Poster Competition for doctors, nurses, students, and therapists, hosted by MGM Medical College, Vashi, based on the theme:

“Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthening Systems that Work.”

We are proud to celebrate the achievements of our Department of Occupational Therapy, LTMG Hospital, Mumbai:

🏆 Dr. Sanika Gawade, Senior Occupational Therapist — 🥇 First Prize in the Therapists/Others Category

🏆 Dr. Dattaprasad Bhosale, First M.O.Th — 🥉 Third Prize in the in the Therapists/Others Category

Through their posters, they highlighted breastfeeding as the foundation for a healthy and sustainable start in life, emphasizing its lifelong benefits for babies, mothers, families, and our planet. The presentations also highlighted the importance of family support, community initiatives, and strengthening systems that enable every mother to initiate and continue breastfeeding successfully.

A proud moment for our department as we continue to promote health, inclusion, family support, and sustainable well-being through Occupational Therapy. 💙✨

On 5th May2026, the Occupational Therapy Department, LTMMC & Sion Hospital, celebrated Autism Awareness Month with a joyful educational outing to Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan and Zoo.
It was a truly enriching and memorable experience for the children and their parents, who enjoyed a sensory-rich, inclusive, and engaging environment. The visit offered valuable opportunities for sensory exploration, social interaction, community participation, and experiential learning in a natural setting.
Such meaningful initiatives by the Occupational Therapy Department highlight the importance of awareness, family involvement, and holistic development for children with autism.
