From Hope to Impact: Celebrating 25 Years of Ummeed!

As Ummeed marks its 25th anniversary, we recently brought together our extended family, initial employees, members, partner organisations, donors, and past and present supporters for an unforgettable evening of reflection, conversations, and performances.

Held under the theme "25 Years of Disability Inclusion: Built through Partnership, Powered by Hope," the milestone celebration featured an engaging Chai Pe Charcha, cultural performances, and heartfelt community participation.

Reflecting on our journey, Ummeed founder Dr. Vibha Krishnamurthy shared how the organization has grown while keeping warmth and enjoying our work at its core. CEO Shamin Mehrotra also noted how Ummeed started in 2001 with just four people and a simple yet powerful belief: that no child should have to fight for dignity. While we have come an incredible way, we recognize that we are still only touching a drop in the ocean.

Thank you to everyone who has walked this path with us... our supporters, caregivers, children, and well-wishers. This milestone isn't just about celebrating our past; it’s about honoring the lives we’ve touched and looking forward to the possibilities for the road ahead! 💙
