92. Since then the School has shown consistently brilliant result of 96%and above at both the SSC and HSC levels. The year also witnessed the initiation of a Junior College in the Commerce faculty. A degree college was established in 1999 and named in the memory of Mrs. Clara Jawahar Kaul, a Versova based educationist with a missionary zeal to take learning to every strata of society. The Children Welfare Centre High School and Clara’s College of Commerce has more than 3500 students on its rolls. The School is ideally located on Yari Road, thus servicing the rapidly developing upper middle-class area of not only yari Road but also versova, Seven Bungalows and Four Bungalows. Built on land acquired from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai on a long-term lease of 60 years, the School occupies a three-storey structure which is soon poised to grow to five storey’s – finally occupying an area of 60,000 square feet. The frontiers of education have expanded to include unimagined areas of study. The CWC is now poised to take off into the areas of Management and Media education.
