Back home, I let time do the magic — oil shimmering, spices blooming, kathal surrendering into a slow luxurious simmer until the whole kitchen smelled like ammas Mutton curry only I knew its the bold aroma of the Kathal korma. My friends Ammee would wait feed us with so much love that by the time the feast ends we could barely get up .And the best part was she would pack us a hearty big tiffin dabba which we would relish the next day too .I miss my childhood biddies and the beautiful moments created with my buddies .Some tastes never fade.
