Apart from this, we are also launching the Research Newsletter which will contain the scientific contributions and the info about our labs in our department. We are open to accepting contributions for it as well.

Hello All,

Mechanical Engineering Association is elated to announce the department trip to Goa once again this time from 6th March to 9th March, 2020. We'll be leaving on 6th Evening, and will be returning by early morning on the 10th of March. We plan to effectively cover maximum places from both, South and North Goa. The package cost is INR 3300/- which includes the breakfast buffet, dinner and the stay in a 3-star hotel in addition to other deliverables. Look up the poster for all other details and feel free to contact the Associate Secretaries.
Payments will be accepted via Tez(Google Pay), or by Cash. Fill in the Google Form to register and pay for the trip. Any payment received without a filled form will not be accepted.

Dear All,

The MEA presents to you the "Department Sophomore Fundey Session”. This event is being organized continuing the legacy aimed primarily for UG Sophomores of ME Department.

Date: February 7, 2020 (Friday)
Time: 8:30 p.m.
Venue: LC202

We observe that often there is no communication from the department’s side regarding the journey you are embarking on, both in the institute and post the insti life.

This event is essentially a "Know Your Department" aimed at bridging this gap, providing you with the necessary information regarding Mechanical Engineering, what entails your coursework at IIT-Bombay, the opportunities that lie ahead, what areas have a high growth in mechanical and, yet not limited to, how to use your time better at the institute.

In an anonymous google form which is being floated, please put up any questions whatsoever you have regarding mechanical engineering; be it about some subjects, opportunities, skillsets or topics like India vs abroad or why not non core or how can you pursue your masters in your dream colleges an so on.

To facilitate this, we’ll be having a Panel Discussion by the professors from all sub-fields in mechanical who will be answering these questions.

Along with this, we are planning to conduct a discussion on startups related to Mechanical. The only constraint in calling Alumni is that we need to ensure that there is a good participation from your side. We are trying our best to leave a benchmark with this event, for other Departments to follow suit. Let’s make it a very productive one. Let us know if you would be interested in interacting with some insti alumni who have founded startups in the event. If the response is good, we will go ahead with this part of the event as well.
