The Chemistry Orientation cm Selection camp held at HBCSE, TIFR from April 13 to April 24, 2026 concluded today with the Valedictory Function in which the Team India for 58th IChO was announced.
The valedictory function was preceded by a lecture by Prof. A. B. Pandit on “Cavitation: Concepts and Applications”.
The talk covered the reactions driven via cavitation process, their thermodynamic and kinetic aspects.

📣Announcing Team India for the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), to be hosted by Uzbekistan. Selected through the Orientation cm Selection Camp held at HBCSE, TIFR - a rigorous process comprising of two theory examinations and three practical assessments.

At the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad 2026 in Bordeaux, France the Indian team achieved its best-ever result, finishing 6th among 67 countries 🌍
✨ Even more special — this is the first time India has won a Gold medal at EGMO!

प्रा. कृष्ण कुमार मिश्र आज HBCSE से अपनी दीर्घ एवं समर्पित सेवाओं के पश्चात् सेवानिवृत्त हो रहे हैं। उन्होंने हिंदी को विज्ञान संप्रेषण की प्रभावी भाषा बनाने में महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है, जिससे वैज्ञानिक ज्ञान व्यापक समाज तक पहुँचा है। उनके 25 से अधिक ग्रंथ प्रकाशित हो चुके हैं, जिनमें से नवीनतम पुस्तक आज प्रकाशित हुआ है।

✨Empowering Young Minds Through Science ✨
HBCSE, in collaboration with IUCAA and the Panchayat Samiti of the Education Department, Ambegaon Taluka, organized an educational visit for students and teachers from Zilla Parishad schools. Around 35 participants, including students from Grades 6 & 7 along with teachers, were part of this enriching initiative.
The objective of this visit was to provide meaningful scientific exposure and learning opportunities to students and educators from rural and tribal areas, particularly those in the region around the IUCAA Girawali Observatory. 🔭✨
At HBCSE, participants engaged in interactive sessions designed to spark curiosity and strengthen scientific thinking. These sessions were thoughtfully planned and conducted by OAE India and the Vigyan Pratibha team, making the experience engaging and impactful. 🔭✨⭐️
