What is immunity???

Immunity is the balanced state of having adequate biological defenses to fight microbes/Infection/Disease.

Every child is born with what is called Innate immunity, and as he/she gets exposed to various diseases/microbes he/she develops what is called adaptive immunity.

Ways to ensure strong immune system for your child...

1.Exclusive breast feeding for six months .

2.up to date Immunization for child as per recommendation of pediatrician.

3.healthy balanced diet in terms of proteins and vegetables/fruits etc
Total 2 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruits in a day.

4.Atleast one seasonal and Vitamin C rich fruit eg orange/kiwi. Daily.

5.Deficiencies to be treated if exist.
Eg Normal haemoglobin
Vitamin D etc.

6.Adequate sunlight exposure.

7.Daily one hour of outdoor play/exercise.

8. Adequate sleep..

9.Ensure your child’s hygiene. Washing/Sanitizing hands before and after meals, after coming back from school or playground goes long way in maintaining good health.

10.Last but not the least, show love to your children more than often.
