On Friday, 24th April 2026, our respected Principal, Dr. Megha Gokhe Ma’am, conducted an insightful session for the F.Y.B.Ed. student-teachers on the topic 'Biglan–Becher Typology', using mind mapping technique as an effective teaching strategy. The session was highly interactive, and student-teachers actively engaged and participated with great enthusiasm.

The Biglan–Becher Typology played an important role in helping student-teachers understand the classification of academic disciplines based on their nature and characteristics. It provided clarity about differences in teaching approaches across subjects, promoted interdisciplinary understanding, and enhanced awareness about how knowledge is structured in various fields.

The use of the mind mapping technique made the session more organized, visual, and easy to understand. It helped in presenting complex ideas in a simplified manner, improved memory retention, and encouraged creative thinking. Student-teachers were able to connect different concepts clearly and develop a holistic understanding of the topic.

Overall, the session was informative, engaging, and intellectually enriching for all.

FB report

On 23rd April, the TSCER campus came alive with words, wit, and wonderful energy as we celebrated English Language Day- in the memory of William Shakespeare along with the Valedictory Session of the Communication Boost: 21 Days to Clarity program which was coordinated by Principal Dr. Megha Gokhe and Assistant Professor Ms. Deepti Agawane at Thakur Shyamnarayan College of Education and Research.

The event opened on a truly literary note as student-teacher Nidhi Sawant compered the event, an engaging and insightful presentation on the life and legacy of William Shakespeare was done by student-teacher Sakshi Khillare, setting the stage for a celebration of language in all its expressive glory. This was followed by a delightful poetry recital by our student-teacher Meelan Desai where emotions flowed as beautifully as the verses themselves.

Adding a theatrical spark, a fun one-act play activity brought out the hidden performers in our student-teachers, who portrayed familiar characters with flair and confidence. The excitement doubled as even our professors joined in, turning the stage into a vibrant blend of talent and enthusiasm. The segment concluded on a light and lively note with an enjoyable tongue-twister session that had everyone smiling and stumbling in equal measure!

The celebration then transitioned into a special presentation by Assistant Professor Ms. Deepti Agawane, the coordinator of the Communication Boost program. Her thoughtfully curated compilation revisited all 21 days of the journey, sharing the inspiration, creativity, and purpose behind each prompt. It was a nostalgic and motivating reflection of how far everyone had come.

The program culminated with the distribution of certificates and thoughtful gifts to all participants, recognizing the dedication and growth of both teachers and students. Student-teacher Tisha Rawal beautifully expressed the vote of thanks on behalf of everyone.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shri Rakesh Singhji for his continuous support and encouragement in making such enriching initiatives possible.
