Good news for doctoral students: The submission deadline for AP-ACR 2027 has been extended to June 22, 2026.

If you're working on an early-stage research project, this could be one of the most valuable opportunities you'll encounter this year.

The Collaborative Research Initiative (CRI) at AP-ACR 2027 is designed to help promising research ideas evolve into stronger, publication-ready projects through mentorship, collaboration, and feedback from scholars with extensive publishing experience.

For many researchers, the challenge isn't generating ideas—it's finding the right guidance, network, and support to take those ideas further. CRI brings all three together.

By participating, you will:
☑️Transform promising ideas into stronger research projects
☑️Learn from scholars with extensive publishing experience
☑️Gain feedback that can strengthen your work before publication
☑️Build a global network of collaborators and mentors

The right feedback at the right stage can significantly influence the trajectory of a research project. Opportunities to engage with experienced scholars and refine your work before entering the publication process are rare.

Don't miss the chance to accelerate your research journey.

⏳ Submission deadline: June 22, 2026

In an AI-first world, attention may be easier to capture, but influence still depends on trust, value creation, and better decision-making.

Prof. Shabbirhusain RV represented SPJIMR at the SpeakIn Asia Dialogues Forum 2026 in Mumbai, where he moderated discussions on how leaders are building influence and impact in an era shaped by artificial intelligence.

Sharing a customer-centric perspective, he highlighted the need for organisations to move beyond simply winning attention and focus instead on helping customers understand, compare, and decide better.

As he noted: “AI may help brands win a moment of attention, but only trust and value creation can turn that moment into influence.”

The discussion reflected SPJIMR’s commitment to value-based, practice-oriented management thinking that combines academic insight with real-world relevance.

The entrepreneurial journey often begins with a question: What problem am I solving?

Batch 39 of the Start Your Business (SYB) programme at SPJIMR began its journey last weekend by exploring ideas, opportunities, and the foundations of venture creation.

The first module focused on understanding customer needs, identifying meaningful problem statements, and recognising opportunities that can evolve into sustainable businesses. Participants also visited the Sardar Patel Technology Business Incubator (SPTBI), gaining insights into the startup ecosystem, incubation support, and the resources available to entrepreneurs as they build and scale ventures.

Over the next four months, participants will engage with entrepreneurship through hands-on learning, mentorship, business model development, strategy, finance, and pitching — translating ideas into actionable business plans.

This cohort brings together aspiring entrepreneurs from diverse sectors including import-export, geospatial technology, sustainable textiles, jewellery, e-learning, and development.

We wish Batch 39 an enriching journey of learning, experimentation, and venture creation.

What if the most meaningful learning didn't happen in a classroom?

For one week, six students from The Manchester Metropolitan University and six Sitaras from SPJIMR's Abhyudaya initiative came together not to learn about each other, but to learn with each other.

Through conversations, home visits, creative collaborations, and shared experiences, they explored questions of identity, aspiration, opportunity, and belonging. What began as a cross-cultural exchange evolved into something far more powerful: a reminder that empathy grows through human connection and that some of life's most important lessons emerge when we step into someone else's world.

Project Saathi, the first collaboration between Abhyudaya and Manchester Metropolitan University, created a space where every participant was both a learner and a teacher.

Because when people meet with openness, curiosity, and respect, everyone learns.

In a world where information is abundant and AI can generate answers in seconds, the quality of leadership increasingly depends on the quality of the questions being asked.

Many organisational challenges are not solved by finding faster answers but by stepping back and examining whether the problem has been framed correctly. The way a challenge is defined often determines the range of solutions that become possible.

A broader, systems-orientated perspective can reveal opportunities, interdependencies, and long-term implications that may otherwise remain overlooked. As complexity increases, the ability to frame problems thoughtfully is becoming an essential leadership capability.
