Our alumnus, Late Jal D. Pardiwala -
Jal is known as the father of the Athletics movement in India. He has also authored the Manual of Athletic Competition. He also started the Parsi Punchayat's Annual Athletic meet and they have named the Athletic Meet Trophy after him. He was awarded a Gold Pin from the International Olympic Committee for his efforts to further the Olympic Movement in India. A few students of St. Mary's from the 1970's have also had the honour of havinng Jal as their P.T. master.
