Day 1 of the Junior Science Olympiad Orientation Programme 2024 at AECS-2, Mumbai was a huge success! 🌟 Our enthusiastic students dove into lectures and hands-on practical sessions with great energy and curiosity. Their excitement was palpable as they explored new scientific concepts and conducted experiments. We're just getting started and can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings! 🚀

Sparking Curiosity, Fueling Innovation! The Junior Science Olympiad Orientation Programme 2024 (8 June to 13 June) at Atomic Energy Central School-2, Mumbai, ignited young minds with a passion for scientific exploration where AECS students from 11 different centres are participating in this 6 day Orientation programme. Witness the excitement as esteemed guests Dr. Shyamala Bharadwaj (Chief Guest) and Dr. Zafar Ahmed (Guest of Honor) inspired the future torchbearers of science.

Students, teachers, and staff participated in a tree plantation drive within the school premises. This activity emphasized the importance of increasing green cover and involved planting a variety of native trees and shrubs.

VVM National Level Camp:
Manomay Gupta, Class VIII and Priyanshu Prasad, Class IX attended VVM National Level Camp on 18 and 19 May 2024 at IISER, Bhopal. They were selected from the VVM State Level Camp from Maharashtra state.

In VVM NLC component 1, students were given 15 minutes to attempt 15 Multiple Choice Questions based on the contributions of some research institutions of India.

In second component, students were invited for Personal Interaction (3 to 5 minutes) on “History of different Forts in various parts of India”. They had to study 5 different forts given them prior.

In third component Vocal for Local, students were
sensitised to study and present local skills, specialities and Indian knowledge systems (IKS). Students had to choose one of the given themes and to prepare slide presentation. They were given 3 to 5 minutes to present their topic. In this, each student was told to judge their peers and to give them names on their presentation...this was something unique at NLC.

AECS-2 students participated in Nrutya Bharat Dance competition held in Pune. There were around 97 entries from all over India, out of which children won 3rd prize for their performance.
