Aseema is a non-governmental organisation committed to equipping children from marginalized communities with high quality, value based education enabling development of their limitless potential. It runs three municipal schools in Mumbai under a partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and has set up an Education Centre for Tribal Children in Igatpuri. Aseema reaches out to over 4000 children living in vulnerable circumstances in urban slums and tribal communities. Education at Aseema extends beyond the classroom with co-curricular activities such as Art, Music, Computers, Judo, Sports, Cinema & Theatre, Excursions and Festival Celebrations. The exceptional work of our young artists is featured on cards, calendars and a wide range of products, which helps generate support for its education programmes.

A winning streak worth celebrating!

At the Mayor’s Trophy Judo Championship, with over 500 participants, Aseema students made a strong mark, bringing home an impressive haul of medals:

🥇7 Gold
🥈10 Silver
🥉25 Bronze

Kherwadi Mumbai Public School added to the momentum, securing the Team Championship Trophy in the Under 8 category.

With over 100 medals in Judo this year alone, the momentum continues.
