If you are a post-Std. XII Commerce student doing B.Com, then MT UVA is ideal for you. You can be a part of UVA for a period of 3 years, which is your basic graduation period, where you are prepared to do well in post-graduate entrance tests like CAT / CET / GMAT, etc., under the CPLC programme for MBA / MMS. Similarly, if you aim to pursue a professional career in Commerce, you will be groomed by qualified faculty for IPCC and CA – Final or CS or CWA. Apart from this, based on your interest analysis test, UVA trains you in vocational skill building, which includes employability enhancement courses like Certified Financial Planning, Diploma in Banking & Finance, Debt Recovery Agent, BPO, Sales, Retail, Marketing, etc., for the first six months. UVA will then assist you for placement in the remainder of the 24 months period. For professional course students there is a campus to corporate bridge program followed by article ship assistance. The entire programme is called SEED (Skill Enhancement & Employability/Entrepreneurial Development). MT UVA also has a Life Enrichment & Advancement Programme (LEAP), which aims at mentoring and motivating you along with the regular counselling workshops; thereby ensuring a leap in your thought process. The TO-BE Programme (Transforming through Outbound & Behavioural Education) of UVA provides you experiential learning through adventure activities at offsites, which strengthens your team-building capability and leadership skills. UVA’s Forum for Learning & Youth Empowerment (FLY) wing works on social entrepreneurship activities and inculcates the feeling in you, of contributing back to society. Grooming you for Management Entrance Exams through UVA – CPLC
CPLC is the Test-prep wing of MT UVA, dedicated to train you for different management entrance exams like CAT, CET, GMAT and GRE. CPLC was started in 2002, and has been instrumental in placing hundreds of students in top institutes like the IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SP Jain, MDI, JBIMS, NMIMS and Symbiosis. CPLC combines the quality teaching talent and effective training methodology in the field of preparatory education. The emphasis is on personalised coaching to ensure results. CPLC is committed to helping you achieve your career goals. The core team at CPLC is called the Nucleus and consists of professionals from the industry with experience in training students with regard to their specific needs. Under MT UVA, CPLC will offer 2-year preparatory programmes for national exams – CAT and CET (including 6 months of Grass Roots Training {GRT}, strengthening the fundamentals of Maths & Verbal), and a 4-month programme for international exams like GMAT and GRE. MT UVA – BG (Basic Graduation)
Many students may not opt for professional courses – but if they are not guided properly, chances are high they will drop out of the competition. Not only students, but parents too are concerned about this fact. In this scenario, UVA comes up with programmes to address their misconceptions and help students achieve more in life. The objective of UVA – BG is to prepare you well to appear for your graduation exam by polishing your skills through classroom lectures in capsule form. More emphasis is given to memorising and mark-scoring techniques, without sacrificing subject understanding and conceptual clarification. UVA TO-BE focuses on outdoor education, which happens through experiential learning. TO-BE takes you outside the classroom to help you gain experience and experiment more with yourself and your team. Through a variety of adventure activities and emotional encouragement, TO-BE exposes you to diverse testing situations. You are prepared to take on challenges and make the right choice when faced with difficult options. Activities like Climbing, White Water Rafting, Trekking, Tattering Jump, Overnight Jungle Camp Out, High and Low Rope Courses, Challenge Courses, etc., gear you up for the demands of life and the world around you. UVA FLY (Forum for Learning & Youth Empowerment) aims to shape your ambitions and guides you by broadening your mind and thinking. Through six activities spread across 3 years, FLY will strive to inculcate the qualities of social entrepreneurship and corporate citizenship in you, by adopting a systematic and practical approach. During the course of the programme, you will not only be given opportunities to participate and contribute towards the growth and upliftment of society, but will also be groomed to become a responsible citizen of the country.
