Scottish inventor Robert Anderson created the first electric-powered vehicle prototype in 1832. It was a crude invention which ran on a single charge but was an electric-powered vehicle nonetheless. The inventor improved upon his original concept in 1842, making a more refined and formal design. However, it wasn't until just over 20 years later that an electric car using a rechargeable battery was invented by Gaston Plante.🔥⚡🚘🔋🚋

The Duke University team is building the world’s fastest electric monowheel motorcycle at over 70MPH:- 🌟
The EV360 is powered by a motor rated for 11 kW (14.75 hp) continuous and 23 kW (31 hp) peak. That motor is designed to propel the wheel at speeds over 70 mph (112 km/h). The electric monowheel motorcycle was built for speed, not for distance, and thus sports a rather small 72V 22Ah lithium polymer battery with 1.58 kWh of capacity. The team estimates that the battery should be sufficient for around 9 miles (14.5 km) of range when riding at 20 mph (32 km/h).⚡⚡🔥🔥

The battery is at the heart of any EV and its performance capabilities could well determine the popularity electric mobility may enjoy in current and future times.

Chinese company Amperex Technology Co. Ltd. is ready to produce a battery that lasts 16 years and 2 million kilometers (1.24 million miles), Chairman Zeng Yuqun said in an interview at company headquarters in Ningde, southeastern China. Warranties on batteries currently used in electriccars cover about 150,000 miles or eight years, according to BloombergNEF.

Extending that lifespan is viewed as a key advance because the pack could be reused in a second vehicle. That would lower the expense of owning an electric vehicle, a positive for an industry that’s seeking to recover sales momentum lost to the coronavirus outbreak and the slumping oil prices that made gas guzzlers more competitive.

Electric vehicle batteries are typically designed to last for the expected life of the vehicle, but battery life should be considered when calculating the extended cost of ownership, as all batteries eventually wear out and must be replaced. Battery replacement is typically costly, but keep in mind that gas-powered vehicle equipment, such as motors and transmissions, have a lifespan too. The rate at which batteries expire depends on the type of battery and how they are used.
The failure rate of some electric vehicles batteries already on the road is as low as 0.003%. There are also high mileage warranties on electric vehicle batteries available with many manufacturers. Several manufacturers offer multi-year and 100,000 mile+ warranties on the batteries in their vehicles. Review manufacturer information carefully when selecting an EV model.
