On behalf of Education Department West Zone and The West Mumbai Suburban Bharat Scouts and Guides District Association organised thinking day on 22nd February, 2024 at West Mumbai Suburban Bharat Scouts and Guides Activity Centre, Mora village, Juhu, Mumbai. Total 377 Scouts and guides from 9 schools took part in the event .
Honorable Shri. Navnath Vanave, Education Inspector of the West zone, District Chief commissioner and smt. Ashwini Latkar, Dy.Eduaction Inspector have extended their greetings to everyone on the occasion of “Thinking Day’’.
The event started with flag hoisting, lighting of the Samai and a floral tribute to Lord Baden Powel and Lady Baden Powel. The competition started with March past followed by energetic performances of the Lezim. The event concluded with folk dance performance and the distribution of prizes to the winning schools, The program ended with the national anthem.

The event was preceded in presence of honorable chief Guests.
1. Mrs. Ekta Thakar.
2. Master. Karnav Rastogi.

Mrs. Ekta Thakar spoken on Environment & poverty.
And Master Rastogi spoke about his books on environment & Shared his thought & expectations to Scouts and guides of his age i.e. 14years. He distribution free books to all on how to save pollution & to take care of environment.
The winners of the competitions were as follows:*
March Past:
1st Place: Duruelo Convent High School
2nd Place: Auxilium Convent High School

Lezim:
1st Place: I.E.S New English School, Bandra East
2nd Place: St. Joseph's Convent High School, Bandra West

Folk Dance:
1st Place: Purushottam High School
2nd Place: I.E.S New English School.
In the folk dance competition, consolation prize goes to Auxilium Convent High school .".

St. Teresa's Convent High School achieved the highest earnings in the "Khari Kamai" ₹34,311, and 2nd highest Apostolic Carmel High School with ₹19,910.

The West Mumbai Suburban Bharat Scouts and Guides had organized, a vibrant Athletic meet 2023-2024 at ,Juhu Activity Center On 29th January 2024. This event was conducted under invaluable guidance of Hon. Mr Navanath Vanave Sir (Education Inspector West zone and District Chief Commissioner) Featuring enthusiastic participation from -:

The event commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a series of competitions. Scouts and Guides were treated with breakfast before the continuing the competitions at last much-anticipated prize distribution. The sports day concluded with the collective spirit of the national anthem. Heartfelt thanks to all participating Schools, Scout Masters and Guide Captains and Hon. Principal for their cooperation and making the day a memorable success!
A sincere thank you to Mr. Zahid Qureshi, District Training Commissioner (Scout), and Mrs. Anita Pereira, District Training Commissioner (Guide), for their invaluable guidance, which played a pivotal role in making the sports day a success. Your expertise and support are truly appreciated. A heartfelt 🙏thank you to Mr. Sudhir Mali ,Mr. Rohit Bakal, Mr Manish Pawar, Mr. Shyam Sundar Tiwari for your crucial role as a judge, ensuring fairness and excellence in the competitions. स्वच्छ भारत अभियान, जुहू सांताक्रुझ पश्चिम दिनांक 29/09/2023

पश्चिम मुंबई उपनगर भारत स्काऊट्स आणि गाईड्स जिल्हा संस्थेमार्फत दिनांक 29 सप्टेंबर 2023 रोजी गणपती विसर्जनाच्या दुसऱ्या दिवशी जुहू चौपाटी सांताक्रुज पश्चिम ,येथे स्वच्छता अभियान राबविण्यात आले आहे या अभियानात पश्चिम मुंबई उपनगर भारत स्काऊट आणि गाईड जिल्हा संस्थेतील 10 शाळेतील एकुण 250 स्काऊट्स गाईड्स आणि युनिट ल‍िडर यांनी सहभाग घेतला.

या कार्यक्रमात शिक्षण निरीक्षक तथा जिल्हा मुख्य आयुक्त मा. श्री नवनाथ वणवे साहेब ,मा.आमदार विधान सभा अध्यक्ष श्री राहुल नार्वेकर साहेब, मा. मत्री , मंगल प्रभात लोढा, मा.आमदार श्री अमित साटम साहेब, मा.आमदार श्री कृपा शंकर सिह, श्रीमती अमृता देवेंद्र फडणवीस समाजसेविका, अभिनेत्री ईशा कोपिकर, मा पुलिस आयुक्त महाराष्ट्र राज्य, मा. बृहमुंबई महानगरपालिका आयुक्त श्री इकबाल चहल साहेब यांनी स्वच्छता अभियानांकरीता सुभेच्छा दिल्या. सकाळी 7.00 वाजता सर्वजण एकत्र येऊन दया करदान भक्ती का हमे परमात्मा देना या प्रार्थनेने सुरुवात झाली. या नंतर स्काऊट्स गाईड आणि युनिट लिडर्स व सर्व कर्मचारी अधिकारी यांनी जुहू चौपाटी स्वच्छता अभियानास सुरुवात केली. यानंतर सर्व सहभागी स्काऊट गाईड युनिट लिडर यांना अल्पोपहार व सहभाग प्रमाणपत्र देण्यात आले. जिल्हा संघटक (गा) सरिता पाटील यांनी आज सुट्टीच्या दिवशीही एवढ्या मोठ्या संख्येने स्काऊट गाईड व युनिट लिडर्स सहभागी झाले असल्याने सर्व मुख्याध्यापकांचे, शिक्षकांचे व पालकांचे आभार मानले. श्रीमती राधा गीध सहा. जिल्हा आयुक्त (गा) , श्री जाहीद कुरेशी जिल्हा प्रशिक्षण आयुक्त (स्का), श्री प्रेमजीत स्काऊट, श्री दिनेश सुत्रावे स्काऊटर श्री सुरेश मुरमुरे यांचे सहकार्य लाभले. अभियानाचे सुत्र संचालन श्रीमती सरिता पाटील जिल्हा संघटक गा यांनी केले. शेवटी सकाळी 10:00 वाजता राष्ट्रगीताने स्वच्छता अभियानाची सांगता झाली.

पश्चिम मुंबई उपनगर भारत स्काऊट्स आणि गाईड्स जिल्हा संस्थे मार्फत दिनांक 14.09.2023 रोजी संघनायक प्रशिक्षण शिबिर पश्चिम मुंबई उपनगर भारत स्काऊट्स आणि गाईड्स ॲक्टीव्हीटी सेंटर जुहू मुंबई येथे आयोजीत करण्यात आले होते. या शिबिरात एकुण 116 स्काऊट्स आण‍ि गाईड्स व युनिट लिडर उपस्थित होते.

या प्रशिक्षण शिबिरात खालील प्रमाणे शाळांनी सहभाग घेतला होता.

या संघनायक प्रशिक्षण शिबिरात Flag Ceremony, Petrol System, Log Book, Proficiency Badge, Patrol in council, Court of Honour , Uniform, B.P 6 Exercise , Leadership Skill and duties, Skill upto Rajya Puraskar, whistle Signal, Formation, Petrol Reporting and Inspection Procedure इ. विषयी सखोल प्रशिक्षण देण्यात आले.
शिबिर प्रमुख श्री जाहिद कुरेशी लिडर ट्रेनर व जिल्हा प्रशिक्षण आयुक्त स्का यांनी अथक परिश्रम घेऊन शिबिर यशस्व‍िर‍ित्या पार पाडले.
प्रशिक्षण यशस्विरित्या पार होण्याकरीता श्रीमती राधा गीध सहा. जिल्हा आयुक्त गा, आमंत्रीत पुर्व मुंबई उपनगर भारत स्कऊट्स आण‍ि गाईड्स जिल्हा संस्थेतील श्रीमती शैलेजा औटी लिडर ट्रेनर (गा)तथा जिल्हा प्रशिक्षण आयुक्त (गा) , श्रीमती लक्ष्मी बिरुणे गाईडर ,श्री मेहताब शेख स्काऊटर ,श्रीमती सुमैया भालदार गाईडर श्री सुनिल भालेराव स्काऊटर , श्री दिनेश सुत्रावे स्काऊटर यांचे यांचे सहकार्य लाभले.
शिब‍िराचे सुत्र संचालन श्रीमती सरिता पाटील जिल्हा संघटक गा यांनी केले. शेवटी ध्वजावतरण करुन राष्ट्रगीताने संघनायक शिबिराची सांगता झाली.

मुख्याध्यापक सहविचार सभा. दिनांक 13/ 9/ 2023 रोजी पश्चिम मुंबई उपनगर भारत स्काऊट आणि गाईड जिल्हा संस्थेच्या विद्यमाने आयोजित मुख्याध्यापक सहविचार सभा जिल्हा संस्था ऋतुंबरा कॉलेज जवळ जुहू येथे यशस्वीरित्या संपन्न झाली. या सहविचार सभेत सन्माननीय श्री नवनाथ वणवे शिक्षण निरक्षक पश्चिम विभाग तथा जिल्हा मुख्य आयुक्त व श्री संदीप पाटील सहाय्यक उपशिक्षण निरीक्षक तथा जिल्हा चिटणीस हे उपस्थित होते. सभेची सुरुवात दया कर दान भक्ती का हमे परमात्मा देना या प्रार्थनेने सुरुवात झाली. उपस्थित मान्यवरांचे स्वागत श्री जाहिद कुरेशी जिल्हा प्रशिक्षण आयुक्त स्काऊट यांनी केले.
या सहविचार सभेत श्रीमती अनिता परेरा जिल्हा प्रशिक्षण आयुक्त गाईड यांनी स्काऊट गाईडची मुलतत्वे Fandamental Of Scout Guide या विषयावर मार्गदर्शन केले. श्री जाहिद कुरेशी जिल्हा प्रशिक्षण आयुक्त स्काऊट यांनी स्काउटिंगचा उद्देश( Defination & purpose of Scouting) द्वितीय सोपान, तृतीय सोपान अभ्यासक्रम, राज्य पुरस्कार, राष्ट्पती पुरस्कार याविषयी मोलाचे मार्गदर्शन केले. तसेच राष्ट्रीय व आंतरराष्ट्रीय कार्यक्रमाबाबत माहिती दिली. श्रीमती सरिता पाटील जिल्हा संघटक गाईड यांनी युनिट नोंदणी ऑनलाईन व ऑफलाईन पद्धतीने कशी करावी तसेच UID व OYMS याविषयी सखोल मार्गदर्शन केले. आदरणीय श्री नवनाथ वनवे शिक्षण निरीक्षक तथा जिल्हा मुख्य आयुक्त यांनी स्काऊट गाईड हा विषय किती महत्त्वाचा आहे, स्काऊट गाईड विषयामुले मुलांचे शारीरिक मानसिक व बौद्धिक विकास होतो हे पटवून दिले तसेच सर्व शाळेमध्ये जास्तीत जास्त युनिट सुरू करावे असे सांगितले.
श्री संदीप पाटील सहाय्यक उपशिक्षण निरीक्षक तथा जिल्हा चिटणीस यांनी आपल्याला देशाला चांगली पिढी द्यायची आहे हे आपले सगळ्यांचे कर्तव्य आहे त्यामुळे स्काऊट गाईड हा विषय किती महत्त्वाचा आहे याबद्दल मार्गदर्शन केले स्काऊट गाईड हा विषय प्रत्येक शाळेत सुरू करावे अशीच सूचना केली.
या सहविचार सभेस श्रीमती राधा गीध सहा.जिल्हा आयुक्त (गा). श्रीमती मीनल नायक मुख्यालय आयुक्त गाईड श्री महेंद्र मिश्रा मुख्यालय आयुक्त स्काऊट श्री सुनील भालेराव, श्री गणपत जोशी, श्रीमती सारिका त्रिपाठी गाईडर, श्रीमती हेमा संतोषवार, कुमारी सुमय्या लिपिक श्री दिनेश सूत्रावे यांचे बहुमोल सहकार्य लाभले.
शेवटी श्रीमती सरिता पाटील जिल्हा संघटक गाईड यांनी उपस्थित मान्यवर, मुख्याध्यापक, मुख्याध्यापिका सुपरवायझर, शिक्षक, शिक्षिका , सर्वांचे आभार मानले.
कार्यक्रमाची सांगता राष्ट्रगीताने झाली.

The West Mumbai Suburban Bharat Scouts and Guides District Association had conducted One day “Refresher Course “on 26th ,August, 2023 from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm at St. Teresa's convent High School Santacruz West Mumbai 400054.

Refresher course was began by flag break ceremony. Mrs Sarita Patil DOC (G) welcomed and introduced her team to all Scouters, Guiders and untrained teachers. Followed by course Integration session.
The West Mumbai Suburban Bharat Scouts and Guides felicitated Sister Simone principal of St. Teresa’s convent High School for providing us auditorium along with all the facilities for refresher course. Smt. Radha Gidh ADC (G) presented bouquet to Sister Simune of St. Teresa's convent High School. Mr Bolar LT (S) was given bouquet by smt Radha Gidh for his valuable time devotion for this event.
Scheme of advancement of unit leader/ scout guide session taken by Mr Bolar LT (S) Mr Zahid Qureshi A.L.T (S) and Mrs Anita Parera A.L.T (G).

OYMS (Online youth management software) information was given by Mr Dinesh Sutrave (Clerk) and Mr silvan Gonsalves. After lunch break practical training sessions began on following important topic.

1. Knotting
2. First Aid and bandages
3. Lasshing
4. Mapping
Total 48 Scouters and Guiders were present for Refresher course. Participants certificate given by presented by Mr. Zahid Qureshi (A.L.T) and Mrs. Anita Parera A.LT.(G) to the Scouter Guider.
At the end of the session Vote of Thanks was done by Mrs. Sarita Patil. With closing ceremony refresher course was ended with happy memories.
