Grade 5 Exhibition & Graduation - a day to celebrate and cherish!
Each student showcased their unique project and the Exhibition demonstrated a range of topics including Up cycling denim, Sustainable F1 racing, Mental Health, Theater, Animal Cruelty, Music, Art, Robotics and many more diverse topics.
The Graduation was kicked off with a welcome note for the parents followed by students crossing the primary building making their way to the Middle School as the next chapter begins! They walked through the hallways of the Primary school where most of them made memories since they began their journey in the Pre-primary.
We wish all our students all the very best as a new adventure unfolds!

PYP Art & Design Show 2026
Students from Pre-primary enthusiastically experimented with clay, paper craft, abstract art, Warli-inspired forms, and colour explorations, showcasing remarkable creativity and skill. Visitors journeyed through Mexico, Austria, Japan, Rome, India, Australia, and the USA through artworks inspired by Michelangelo, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Georgia O’Keeffe, and more. Highlights included dot paintings, rain sticks, Mexican worry dolls, “Human Barometer” mood explorations by Grades 1 and 2, and striking positive and negative designs by Grade 4 students.
The final reveal, Conflict and Resolution, presented by Grade 5, thoughtfully connected historical events with present-day realities. Through expressive plaster masks, the statue of Sadako Sasaki, and delicate paper cranes, students beautifully conveyed messages of peace, resilience, and hope.
Design Thinking
*Grade 1 & 2* shaped landmasses with their hands and built remote control vehicles that raced across two live arenas. Engineering and joy, all at once.
*Grade 3 & 4* turned simple cardboard into glowing animal lamps, reimagined classic fairy tales through design thinking, and after visiting the slums of Mumbai, built prototypes to solve the everyday struggles of real people around privacy, water, space and light.
*Grade 5* designed learning aids for the little ones at St. Theresa School, built not to impress, but to ignite someone else’s love of learning. Then they picked up woodworking tools for the very first time, built scooters from scratch, and raced them in full team colours.
Every single project began with one question, “How might we?” And every answer was made with curiosity, empathy and courage.
We are so proud of every young artist and designer who turned an idea into something real.

Through our Lens, learning begins to Glow
Our students proudly showcased their learning journeys at Lens Fair, celebrating inquiry, creativity, and conceptual understanding across the IB PYP framework. From Science and Math to Literacy, Design, Languages, Yoga and more, every game, experiment, prototype, and presentation reflected student agency, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary learning.
A special highlight this year was the Science showcase from Pre-primary to Grade 5, bringing together explorations in living things, earth and space, forces and energy, and materials and matter, aligned with the IB PYP and NGSS framework through hands-on inquiry and real-world connections.
Thank you to all our parents for joining us, engaging with our learners, and celebrating the depth and joy of learning alongside us. And a huge appreciation to our teachers for nurturing curiosity, rigour, and innovation every step of the way.

Big win for the Ascend International School team!
Our students of Grade 8 just took home First Prize in the Engineering and Design category at the prestigious Cosmic Fest 2026!
The challenge? Figuring out how to extract frozen water from the rugged terrain of Mars which is a massive hurdle for the future of space travel. Our team of four absolute rockstars impressed the judges with a solution that was as ingenious as it is practical.
The icing on the cake? They received their award directly from Sir Vasudevan Gnana Gandhi of ISRO. Talk about an out-of-this-world endorsement!
Huge congratulations to our young engineers of Grade 8 for proving that the sky isn’t the limit, it’s just the beginning.

Ms Radhika Rajgarhia ( PYP Principal) and Ms Leslie Bartley (MYP coordinator) attended the 3 day conference and met with heads, coordinators and teachers from across the globe and exchanged ideas at workshops and panels that they attended. The session topics and themes ranges from Leadership to AI in action and classroom stories to specific programme related workshops.
The global conference was an enriching platform for all IB educators and we are glad that Ascend was represented there as well.

As their culminating summative assessment task for their I&S unit on Urbanisation and Sustainability, the students of Grade 6 designed purpose-built models of what a sustainable city of the future could look like. Students were tasked with planning the layout of their city (different zones such as commercial, industrial, residential, green spaces etc.), think about energy requirements, think of solutions to major urban crises such as pollution and traffic, and justify why they made the design choices. These city models were then displayed at the Convention for Urban System Planning (CUSP) Exhibition, where parents, teachers and students from across the school were invited to see the sustainable city models designed by our sixth graders. The students enthralled audiences with their many creative designs and their well-thought-of choices.
