This summer, we’re bringing you an enriching opportunity to develop your fiction writing skills with the guidance of Jever Kohli-Mariwala. We are excited to announce her upcoming “Introduction to Writing Fiction” workshop!

Jever is a talented fiction writer raised in Kochi and Mumbai, currently residing in Brooklyn. She holds a B.A. from Yale University, where she served as Editor-In-Chief of the Yale Daily News Magazine. Jever’s work has been recognized by Yale with the Elmore A. Willets Prize for best fiction writing and the Richard Schoenberg Prize for the best critical essay. She has also worked with the Innocence Project and participated in various writers’ workshops in New York. This fall, she will begin her M.F.A in Fiction at Brooklyn College with a full scholarship.

Our workshop is designed for adult writers looking to establish a regular writing practice and understand the essentials of fiction writing within a supportive community. Over two weeks, Jever will lead in-depth discussions on student work and analyze published short stories, focusing on the key elements that drive and structure compelling narratives.

Workshop Details:

Duration: Two weeks
Sessions: Two 3-hour sessions per week
Start Date: Tuesday, July 2
Age Requirement: Adults aged 17+
Location: Our office in Worli, Mumbai

We are about to begin a new cycle of applications for Fall 2023 with a fresh new team at Zest for Life, and a fresh batch of students. As we await final results of this application year, and put Covid behind us, we are excited to welcome students to our offices in person! Looking forward to meeting new students and helping them succeed in meeting their personal and educational goals! Come visit us!
