Today, Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College paid heartfelt homage on the 69th Mahaparinirvan Day of the visionary leader, architect of the Indian Constitution, and Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. As per our annual tradition, a tribute ceremony was held on Monday, 8th December 2025 at 12:15 p.m., honouring his enduring legacy of equality, justice, and empowerment.

Ramnarain Ruia College, established in June 1937 by the visionary Shikshana Prasaraka Mandali, Pune, holds the honour of being Mumbai’s first educational institution run by a private management body. The college was formally inaugurated on 3rd December 1937 by H.E. Sir Roger Lumley, the then Governor of Bombay.

We proudly acknowledge the generous contribution of Mataji Suvratadevi Ruia and her illustrious son Seth Ramnivas Ramnarain Ruia, whose donation of Rs. 2,00,000 from the Ramnarain Harnandrai Charitable Trust laid the foundation of this centre of excellence. In recognition of their noble gesture, the S. P. Mandali named the institution RAMNARAIN RUIA COLLEGE.
