Your Letter can save a Life.

Su***de is one of the leading causes of death amongst the youth today. According to the WHO, every year close to 800,000 people take their own life and there are many more who attempt su***de. An ardent effort needs to be made to reduce these numbers and provide young people with better strategies to deal with stressful challenges around them.

An important message that needs to be conveyed to our youth today is, “There is always help for those who are in need of it.” But, reaching out for help can be a daunting task even if you like talking to people. That’s why, we, the students of The Aditya Birla Integrated School, along with Mpower, are reaching out to students from all over the world for support.

As an effort towards aiding su***de prevention, we aim to generate ‘hope’ through a series of positive messages, awareness posters and written letters. You can contribute to this meaningful cause by scanning and sending your Letter of Hope. You can choose to write a letter, create an awareness poster, create a work of hopeful art, or design a hopeful symbol/message/quote; please get as creative as you want!

A compilation of these letters and hopeful messages will be used to create the Letters of Hope E-Book, which will be free to download on Kindle. This book will be launched on the 9th of September, 2020, a day prior to World Su***de Prevention Day.

It is important to remember that this small effort on your part can make a BIG difference to someone who is going through a tough time. This year, more than ever, people are going through various difficulties because of the pandemic. Joining hands through a campaign like this will only make us “Stronger Together”.

Looking forward to reading your words of hope!
