REPUBLIC DAY
As our beautiful country gears up for the 72nd Republic Day on Tuesday, January 26, we at HLC celebrated our vibrant and wonderful country during our circle time .
We watched interesting videos, played quizzes and games , created republic day artwork and dressed up in the colours of our Flag

GRADES 1 - V

Students participate in a number of activities aimed at encouraging them to explore their areas of interest and try and push their boundaries ....and in the process getting to know their friends a little better too

GRADE 2 : Eng Library : Character Rebuilding

Each child broke down their favourite character and added a new version to it. Eg: Scooby doo wears a hat and is yellow in colour.

FIESTA OF FESTIVALS was celebrated with Enthusiasm and Vigour. Children colored themselves with Hues of Love & Unity by celebrating Festivals like Holi, Diwali, Durga Puja, Makar Sankranti, Janmashtmi and many more. They also shared deep insights about the values rooted in celebrating these festivals. Learning happened through singing songs, reciting poems, making different props and sweets that are specially used in each festival.

Art integrated learning is experiential in nature and makes all children respond with their imagination and emotions.
Learners explore creatively while building connections between different Concepts ( in Maths, Science, Social Studies, Languages )and various Art Forms be it painting, poetry, dance or theatre.
Completing a 'Self Reflection' on the process is essential for further learning

KALEIDOSCOPE - LIFE SKILLS

Gratitude Jars are a fun, artistic, and hands-on way for children to practice Gratitude. In this activity, each child will create a special Jar where they save Gratitude statements at the end of the day.

Encourage parents to make the Gratitude Jar ritual part of their daily routine, including a brief discussion about each of their child’s Gratitudes.

This activity works great as part of a bedtime routine.
