Jumbaya is on a mission to foster joyful reading through carefully crafted, research-based programs. We're expanding our library of decodable books and seeking experienced, published authors to join us in this exciting journey.

What we’re looking for:
- Skilled authors with experience in creating decodable books.
- Ability to follow our in-house phonics progression.
- Expertise in developing engaging book sets for each phonic stage.
- Willingness to collaborate throughout the creation, editing, and publishing process, incorporating feedback to meet high-quality standards.

Job Type: Contractual.

Please include samples of your previous decodable works with your application.

Dr. Katie Egan Cunningham is an Associate Professor of Elementary Education and the Program Director of Teacher Education at Sacred Heart University. She is a strong proponent of research-based best practices in reading.

As a key member of our team, Katie has played a crucial role in co-creating the curriculum and content for Jumbaya, ensuring that research and joy are at the heart of our approach.
