Mithibai College has once again showcased its research excellence by winning the Zonal Championship (Zone III) at the 18th & 19th Avishkar Research Conventions organised by the Department of Students’ Development, University of Mumbai.
This remarkable achievement marks two consecutive years of securing the top position, reflecting our students’ innovation, dedication, and academic brilliance. With strong participation across diverse categories and multiple proposals selected for the University-level rounds, Mithibai continues to empower young researchers and inspire a culture of inquiry and creativity.
The felicitation ceremony held on 29 November 2025 at the Sir Cowasjee Jehanghier Convocation Hall, University of Mumbai, celebrated the hard work of our students and mentors.

Mithibai Shines Again—Leading the Way in Research and Innovation!

We were honoured to host the Regional Young Investigator’s Meeting (RYIM) 2025, a flagship initiative of , at SVKM’s Mithibai College, Mumbai, in association with Gujarat Biotechnology University and Kishinchand Chellaram College.
The two-day event brought together 112 young researchers from Mumbai, across India, and international organisations—celebrating the spirit of curiosity, collaboration, and interdisciplinary science.

The meet featured eminent speakers including:

Participants gained insights into frontier areas such as bacterial communication, sustainable protein technologies, AI-driven scientific discovery, precision diagnostics, and ethical publishing.

Interactive segments—including the panel discussion “Collaboration as a Catalyst for Scientific Progress” led by Dr. Hitesh Shingadia, an engaging Ask-Us-Anything session, and networking over tea and lunch—created spaces for meaningful scientific exchange. The Crafting Your Career (C*C) workshop by Dr. Siuli Mitra (IndiaBioscience) further empowered early-career scholars with actionable career strategies.
