Dr Aparna Pandey, Assistant Professor - General Management and Dr Anjali Chopra, Professor - Marketing & International Business, K J Somaiya Institute of Management have co-authored a chapter titled 'Management Education, Gandhian Values and Experiential Learning Perspectives', which has been accepted for publication in the book 'Applying Non-Violent Communication Values in the 21st Century'. The book is authored by Dr Vedabhyas Kundu, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The chapter revolves around incorporating Gandhian values in Management Education through experiential learning. It draws upon David Kolb’s learning cycle (1984), which outlines learning as a continuous process involving experience, reflection, conceptualisation and experimentation. The chapter further explores how students engage in discussions on ethical business practices, sustainable marketing, greenwashing and other critical concepts, reflecting on how individuals can make a difference.
This chapter contributes to classroom learning and the broader discourse on sustainable and ethical practices in education and industry.
