St. Francis Institute of Management & Research (SFIMAR) was established in 2002 by “The Society of the Congregation of Franciscan Brothers”; to impart quality education in the field of Business Management. It is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and has been granted permanent affiliation by University of Mumbai.
At SFIMAR, teaching and learning comprises of interactive classroom lectures, group discussions, case studies, academic projects, assignments, presentations, role plays, viva, field visits & projects, management games, peer-to-peer tutoring, business simulation and film/documentary screening. Alongside events like Exuberance, which is a two day inter collegiate fest organized in the month of February, Path, is an International research paper conference, Luminance, is an annual day event, Anveshi, is a research paper competition for students who are interested and are inclined towards researching, Induction, is an event which is mainly conducted for all the first year students in order to welcome them. Speaker series, is an event wherein some of the eminent speakers are invited to give a talk in order to guide our students. Students across various colleges are given an invitation to attend this event.
Apart from the management events we also have different clubs which are conducted to inculcate some team spirit among each of the groups taking part helping each student come up with new, creative and innovative ideas.
We have the Malay Club, Film screening club, Green club and so on.
Among all other celebrations, the prominent two celebrations at SFIMAR are the Dandiya night organized for all the Gujarati lovers and the Christmas Celebration.
SFIMAR understands the importance of every student along with the college’s growth therefore, it takes care of each student’s personal growth as well as by conducting trainings and programs such as:
1. Sensitivity Training
2. Peer-to-Peer teaching style
3. Thought leadership program.
4. Stress management and Fitness
5. Management skill Development Program
