Many TFs need to clear huge karma/dharma before harmonious union will happen, especially where relationship-lessons/clearances are needed with karmics/dharmics. In the ascension-lifetime, before leaving this earth, all karma/dharma need to be balanced out, so this is why many TFs have it hard in this final lifetime, also due to tough experiences in regards to their divine missions.

After the activision of the TF-journey and the blissful beginning, the separation phase occurs for many TFs. Here the karmic clearance (lessons) happens as well as both TFs start balancing the masculine/feminine energies. The karmic clearance often involves strong pastlife soulmates (often uncorrectly referred to as karmics/dharmics), so this is why the bonds/attractions are very intense and the necessary soulcontracts very strong, because only then the karma/dharma will be cleared before union.

This is why many TFs can feel comfortable with a soulmate for some time (specially in the beginning), but only due to a strong, but limited soulcontract, even if the TF will live in their minds. Some of these dharmics/karmics really teach the TFs heavy lessons and also the worth of the their TF.

Every TF should be happy for every cleared karma/dharma, because it means they are closer to their harmonious union.
