Victorious in the arena of words !! Huge congratulations to my student - Megh from grade 5 for securing 1st position in the MUN Debate of Russia - Ukraine war topic 🌎 His persuasive arguments for Ukraine left everyone in awe 👏🏻 Cheers to your unwavering determination. 🥂
So What’s MUN ❓
👉🏻 MUN ( Model United Nations ) is a conference, where students work as the representative of a country, organization, or person, and solve a problem with other delegates from or around the world that MUN teaches participants; skills like research, public speaking, debating, and writing, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership.

Here’s a sneek peek : So next time you have a debate, don’t miss out on these tips ✨
1️⃣ Research & Dive deep into the topic & gather enough facts to strengthen your arguments.
2️⃣ Address counter agreements with well reasoned responses while maintaining respect for difference in opinion.
3️⃣ Hone your speaking skills, practice your delivery & stay confident.

Did you know that only 1% of the population is ambidextrous.”
Which means, individuals can write with both hands equally well? It's a rare talent that requires a unique set of skills and coordination & that ambidexterity can sometimes be learned? With practice, some people can train themselves to use their non-dominant hand for everyday tasks. 🙌🏻

Speaking academically, I’ve never had major issues with Mathematics, but life was hard when I had to deal with Math Club - IPM exams. Glaring at the index, I realised it won’t take much time for me to wind up with the syllabus. Little did I knew, that whole Math world awaited me.
Often I asked ma’am if its really worth doing all this as I already bag a great score for myself in exams, to which she always used remind- “Yes !! Very Much !! I don’t know when you’ll realise, but yes, hopefully soon.” I just took her words as mere exaggeration and nothing else. But as I started solving sums I actually realised that my fundamentals weren’t that strong yet I wasn’t ready to accept the fact.
With each session passing by of grade 6 & 7, I had all possible reasons to give up while ma’am had all possible reasons to make me keep going. Her encouraging words made me do even more sums. Every time she used to remind me - “Urja, its so easy!!, Urja, c’mon you can’t give up on such simple question!! I can’t believe this you couldn’t solve?, This is damn easy!! …” and many more. She didn’t leave any stone unturned to help me work on my fundamentals. Frankly, hadn’t been Ma’am’s magic of IPM, I wouldn’t have ever got a reality check. Whoof!! Those days of anger, frustrations, tears, painstaking sums, headaches, blasts all are rewarding in my current days of grade 8. Ofcourse, it wasn’t easy then as well, but I’m proud I made through it.
So today, the tranquility that exudes on my face is all because of her magic. But, after having worked on all of that & studying those concepts and its connectivity; today in grade 8, I just sit in class to stare around at my classmates to see them struggling with all those concepts. And when they ask me, “What am I doing? I tell them I’m waiting for my turn to explain the solution to the whole class.”🤷🏻♀️ Such is my current life.
Well, I can continue writing a thesis on this but for now, ‘The fun with Math has actually begun’🤞🏻

Success isn't always about achieving something on the first try. It's about taking one step after another, never giving up, and putting in the effort to make progress. Keep pushing forward, and success will follow.
