🙏🌺 A farewell rooted in faith, tradition and responsibility.

The Ganpati celebrations at Mumbai Public School ICSE came to a beautiful close with an eco-friendly Ganpati Visarjan, lovingly led by the parents of our Nursery learners.

Visarjan is not merely a farewell. It reminds us of the beautiful cycle of creation, celebration and dissolution—teaching us that what comes from nature must return to nature. And what better way to honour Bappa than by celebrating Him while also caring for the environment He has gifted us? 🌿

Our Nursery parents took complete ownership of the celebrations—from welcoming Bappa and preparing His abode to decorating the school and finally giving Him an environmentally conscious farewell.

For our youngest learners, it became a lesson beyond textbooks: faith with responsibility, tradition with sustainability, and celebration with care for nature.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Nursery parents for turning a religious tradition into a meaningful community experience and showing our children that devotion and environmental responsibility can beautifully go hand in hand. ❤️

Bappa leaves us with His blessings;

A celebration where everyone had a place, a role and a reason to smile. 🌺

Ganesh Chaturthi at Mumbai Public School ICSE became a beautiful expression of what happens when an entire community comes together.

The Nursery parents led with immense enthusiasm—from bringing the idol and decorating the makhar to preparing the space where Bappa was welcomed.

Our teachers joined hands with parents in traditional Maharashtrian dance and pugdi, while our children participated in the rituals with innocence and excitement—bringing naivedya, learning the aartis, understanding customs, sharing prasad and witnessing the immersion.

The initiative by Ms. Reeya Ghag and the Pre-Primary team, supported by the entire staff, transformed a festival into an experience of culture, community and belonging.

It reminded us of something very important:

An institution becomes meaningful when people feel valued within it.

And on this day, every parent, every teacher and every child truly belonged.

May Bappa bless our school family and may this beautiful tradition continue for years to come. 🙏🏻❤️

A little paper cup, a lot of imagination—and a meaningful lesson for our planet. 🌱🐘

Our Pre-Primary learners celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi by creating their own eco-friendly Ganesha idols using paper cups, turning a festive activity into an opportunity for meaningful learning.

As little hands shaped, coloured and decorated, children developed fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity and concentration—but they also encountered an important idea: celebrating our festivals while caring for nature.

It was a beautiful introduction to the concept of responsible celebration, where tradition and environmental awareness can go hand in hand.

For our little learners, Ganesha became more than a festival experience.

He became a lesson in creativity, sustainability, respect for nature and mindful celebration. 🌱🙏🏻

Because the values we teach today become the habits they carry tomorrow.

🌿🙏 When education creates responsible citizens, even a festival becomes a lesson for life. 🙏🌿

As we prepare to welcome Ganpati Bappa, our Grade 4 and 5 learners experienced the joy of creating Ganesha idols using natural clay and soil—turning a cherished tradition into an opportunity for sustainable learning.

This simple activity beautifully reflects SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production—encouraging children to make mindful choices, respect nature and celebrate our festivals in an environmentally responsible way.

But the most meaningful learning came through community service and collaboration.

A Grade 9 student from another school volunteered to share the skill of idol-making with our younger learners. What a wonderful reminder that knowledge has no age, no boundaries and no school walls. Anyone with a skill, a willingness to share and a spirit of service can become a teacher.

In the process, our children developed fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, patience, creativity and concentration. They touched the soil, worked with their hands, stepped away from screens and reconnected with nature.

This activity also reflects SDG 4: Quality Education through experiential learning and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration and community participation.

As a school, our vision is not merely to teach children about sustainability, culture and citizenship, but to give them opportunities to live these values.

Because education is at its best when a child learns, creates, shares and contributes.

A sustainable celebration.
A shared skill.
A living tradition.
A lesson in community.

And perhaps, in these little clay idols, we see the India we hope to build—rooted in tradition, responsible towards nature and united by the spirit of giving. 🇮🇳🌱

🌱✨ Little Gardeners, Big Discoveries! ✨🌱

Learning about germination became a wonderful hands-on experience for our Senior KG learners! Instead of only hearing about how a seed grows into a plant, our little explorers sowed their own seeds in paper cups and experienced the first steps of growing a plant. 🌱🥤

What caught our attention first? Those little gloves! 🧤 Our children carefully followed hygiene practices while handling the soil and seeds—learning that caring for nature also begins with caring for ourselves. 💚

The learning journey then moved beyond the classroom to our terrace garden, where students observed real plants, leaves, stems and growing patterns. 🌿👀

A beautiful example of teacher modelling and experiential learning—when teachers demonstrate, children observe, imitate and participate, giving every learner an opportunity to experience the concept.

More than germination, this activity nurtured observation, curiosity, responsibility, patience, hygiene, fine-motor skills and care for nature.

🌱 A seed was sown… but so much more was nurtured—curiosity, confidence and a love for learning! 💚

Our little learners explored the fascinating world of sunlight and shade—understanding their uses, features, and importance in our everyday lives. Rather than simply learning the concept, students observed, questioned, discussed, and connected it with what they see around them. 🔍💡

The learning continued with a hands-on plant-growing activity using paper cups, soil and seeds. 🌱🥤 With tiny hands carefully filling soil, sowing seeds and nurturing their little plants, children experienced the basic needs of plants and discovered how sunlight, water, soil and care work together to support life.

This activity beautifully blended Science with Life Skills—developing hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, patience, responsibility, observation, care for nature and the joy of learning by doing. 💚

Because when children touch, observe, create and nurture, concepts move beyond the classroom and become experiences they remember. 🌿✨

Our Grade 2 learners explored multiplication tables through a creative and meaningful activity. 📚🔢 With beautifully prepared charts, they confidently presented and explained the concepts they had learned.

A special thank you to our wonderful parents for supporting the children and helping them create such colourful and thoughtful learning charts. ❤️ Your involvement makes learning at home an extension of the classroom.

A heartfelt appreciation to our teachers for designing such a creative, activity-based learning experience. 👏 By encouraging children to visualise, create, explain and apply, we are moving beyond the traditional practice of simply rote-memorising tables.

Because when children understand the concept behind the numbers, tables become more than something to remember — they become something they truly know! 🌟

🌟 When learning inspires, participation follows! 🌟

The excitement from our recent visit to the Museum of Solutions continued right into the classroom! Today, we witnessed 100% participation and enthusiastic attendance as our Grade 1 learners explored not just Mathematics, but also their EVS evaluation with creativity and confidence. 💫

From colourful charts and thoughtfully designed posters to proudly presenting their own daily routines, our little learners beautifully explored the four parts of a day — Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night. 🌅☀️🌆🌙

What made it truly special was watching children explain their own work, connect learning with their everyday lives, and confidently share what they do at different times of the day.

This is what application-based learning looks like — when concepts move beyond textbooks and become a part of a child's own world. ❤️
