The LeTS (Learn Through Stories) model, an IIT Bombay solution, enables students to learn through content they have themselves helped produce.

It is a collaboration between design professionals and young students. Together, we create stories. Through the LeTS Foundation, we conduct content-creation workshops, collect contextual stories from schools in India, both rural and urban, teach book design and production to children, and publish books that then return to all students and teachers. It is a collaboration between design professional

It was an energising morning to attend the Shakti Awards 2026 ceremony last week, as several were applauded for the verve they got to the women entrepreneurs’ community. Seeing their journeys celebrated was indeed delightful. To represent the Learn Through Stories initiative at such a gathering gave hope, where not-for-profit initiatives such as ours could reach out to larger communities. More power to

A proud moment for all of us at Learn Through Stories.

Our co-founder was awarded in the “Woman Entrepreneur in Educational Transformation” category at an event hosted by The Times of India and Saveetha Dental College in Chennai.

Moments like these remind us that the work of bringing stories and meaningful learning into classrooms is being seen and valued.
Grateful, proud, and motivated to keep going. ✨

On the 11th of February, the Learn Through Stories Foundation participated in the OIS Fest 2026, an annual initiative by Oberoi International School (OGC and JVLR campus). In this year’s festival, our stall was not only an exhibition but an opportunity for stories to travel further. We decided to fill it with kids’ handwritten pages, photographs of our sessions, and small glances into classrooms where imagination was slowly turning into confidence. As people stopped to read a line or two, conversations unfolded naturally

One particularly memorable moment was when officers of the fire brigade, who were present at the festival, came over to our stall. They were genuinely enthusiastic about the concept and expressed how much they appreciated the idea behind the foundation. I spoke to them in Marathi and Hindi, and what stood out to me was how much more confident they felt in their native language, this reminded me of why we do what we do. It isn’t just to teach children, but to make them more confident learners in a language that is inherently foreign, with stories that are as familiar. Their positive response was uplifting and reaffirmed that the foundation’s work connects with people from all walks of life.

What struck us the most was the authenticity of the response. Not only were people not passing us by, but they were inquiring, interested, and eager to grasp the idea that something as simplistic as storytelling could revolutionise a child’s outlook on learning. Many donors ended up wanting to contribute, not necessarily out of obligation, but out of conviction. They picked up leaflets and postcards to stay engaged, eager to be along the paths of the kids they just got done reading. It was a genuine outpouring of support, coming from a place of conviction for the belief that every child should be able to express themselves with confidence.
