Thiya Singh: Uttarakhand’s Youngest Taekwondo Star Shines Globally

Three-year-old Thiya Singh from Uttarakhand has achieved a remarkable feat by entering the World Book of Records, London, as the youngest girl to earn a yellow belt in Taekwondo.

Thiya began her Taekwondo journey at just two and a half years old, inspired by her elder sister Mauyra, who holds a blue belt in the sport. With strong support from her family and admiration for her sister’s dedication, Thiya quickly developed a keen interest and passion for Taekwondo.

Under the expert guidance of coaches Javed Khan and Hina Habib, Thiya trained consistently and displayed extraordinary commitment for her age. Her determination bore fruit in May 2024, when she won a silver medal at the Dehradun district-level Taekwondo championship, showcasing her talent at a competitive level.

Her parents, Pranjal Singh and Amandeep Kaur, initially enrolled her in Taekwondo to help her learn discipline and self-defense. But Thiya’s quick progress and enthusiasm soon transformed into an exceptional accomplishment that no one anticipated so soon.

Her achievement is not just a proud moment for her family but a significant milestone for Uttarakhand as well. At such a young age, Thiya has proven that with passion and perseverance, even the smallest athletes can make a big impact.

Thiya’s journey stands as an inspiration to countless young children across India, showing that age is never a barrier when determination leads the way.

अंजू महेंद्रू जब तक काका जी ज़िन्दगी मे रही काका का सितारा बुलंदी पर ही रहा ! दोनो जब भी साथ मे होते थे तो लगता था दोनो मे उसका असली दिल धड़कता है ! राजेश खन्ना अंजू महेंद्रू को सात साल से डेट कर रहे थे। अगर दोनो आगे भी साथ रहते तो दोनो ज्यादा खुश रहते ! शायद किस्मत को यह मंजूर नहीं था !
