After a year full of hard work, determination and dedication, it's finally time!!!
Presenting EFFICIERE, our vehicle, our achievement ❤️
EFFICIERE is the upgraded model of our previous vehicle ADAMYA. Our new vehicle is more compact, faster and has a lower drag coefficient than the previous vehicle.
Through the course of this season we encountered many difficulties but despite it, the team's consistent effort and passion paved the way for the successful manufacturing of our vehicle.
It was incredible to unveil our vehicle in our college premises amongst the teachers and enthusiastic students.

On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day🌿, DJS Miles brings to you 6 ways in which you can make a little contribution towards the well-being of Mother Earth🌏
(1/6) The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually end up in the ocean.
(2/6) Plant trees-Trees provide food and oxygen. They help save energy, clean the air, and help combat climate change.
(3/6) Use long-lasting light bulbs- Energy-efficient light bulbs reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Also, flip the light switch off when you leave the room!
(4/6) Don't send chemicals into our waterways - Choose non-toxic chemicals in the home and office.
(5/6) Bike more. Drive less - Bicycle riding uses minimal fossil fuels and is a pollution-free mode of transport. Bikes reduce the need to build, service and dispose of cars. Bicycle riding conserves roadway and residential space, thereby providing opportunities for less concrete and more plant life in urban areas.
(6/6) Reduce, reuse, and recycle - Cut down on what you throw away. Follow the three "R's" to conserve natural resources and landfill space.

Do you know? If you spend US$70 a week on food deliveries, you are contributing in increasing carbon footprint to about 450%.Online deliveries have increased significantly in today's world, especially from Covid times. Five out of ten 2 wheelers seen on the road are for food deliveries. Home-delivered food has a huge climate cost. We DJS Miles identified this issue and felt our social responsibility to conserve our mother earth. On the occasion of world environment day we conducted an "Eco-Friendly Delivery Drive."
Locating prime locations in the city and major food corners, we reached out to nearly 100+ delivery persons waiting to collect their food parcels and made them aware about this serious rising issue. We interacted with them making them understand how they could drive efficiently thus reducing carbon footprint, introduced them to Ev's and collected their opinions.
We concluded the interaction with they taking an oath to protect our Mother Earth henceforth. We appealed them to stick a sticker about the same on their vehicle which will remind them their oath.
So, here we did our job! What are you'll waiting for? We as a team would request and appeal you'll to help us in our campaign and do your own bit in making Earth a better place to live in!

"Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success."
Here are a few snippets of the progress in our manufacturing journey for the upcoming season✨
The CHASSIS of a vehicle is the foundation structure which supports its weight in ideal and dynamic states.
The initial stage of designing the chassis was understanding the shape and design we wished to achieve while complying with the rules of the Shell Eco-Marathon competition.
Upon completion of the designing of the chassis, the design was then split in sheets so that it could be desirably cut by the CNC machine which we would be using to make the "Pattern" which is an exact 1:1 replica of our design
The pattern of the chassis was then made by stacking layers of MDF sheets which were finely cut using CNC machining and later sanded to give us the desired chassis shape.

While purchasing new household devices, select ones with an “Energy Star“ label. These appliances will provide you a federal guarantee that the appliance utilizes less energy when it is on standby, as well as while in use, than any standard non-energy efficient product.
Here's a fun fact!
ENERGY STAR certified laundry washers consume 25% less energy and 45% less water than conventional ones, whereas ENERGY STAR refrigerators use only 9% less energy!

This is simplest yet the most overlooked energy conservation technique. Plugged in appliances use electricity even when not in use, unplugging them is a great tip to reduce your electricity bills.
It is crucial for us to change a few of our habits, especially around our houses. You can start by unplugging the charger once the battery is fully charged or when the charger is not in use.
You can also practice energy conservation by simply turning off the lights while leaving the room, by washing your dishes by hand instead of a dishwasher, or by renouncing the dryer which is known to be a huge electricity consumer and hang-dry your clothes.

Recent studies show that traditional light bulbs are huge electricity consuming sources. They spend tremendous power and waste a huge amount of energy which can be put to use elsewhere.
Replacing them with energy-efficient alternatives like LEDs or CFL lights would be a great start to a better future as they consume less electricity.
